Re: MIDI over USB interfering with NI gear

2. Line out from the Korg to Line in on the Motu is really lacking in volume gain - I had the very same issue and then two days later I decided to check my cables. I was so excited receiving wavestate that I just grabbed a pair of cables and went for it. Yep, they were TR cables not TRS! Swapped ...

Make sure that the RME port is setup for SPDIF. Sometimes you have to configure the port in the software. (They are usually switchable) Its possible that it is currently set to ADAT? Also, you may want to consider adding the return from the RME to the Kronos in. This way your RME will be clocking ...

Connecting Kronos to your computer with USB is fine. You haven't mentioned how you are monitoring Kronos? If you are using your computer speakers or something else in that category, well then by all means an audio interface and a set of studio monitors will surely brighten your day. Get ready for a ...

Another option is the new Nord Lead A1 to be released in March April. It has all the features of the A4 but was specifically built to simplify programming and achieve your sound goals much faster. Very nice features and street price seems to be well worth it. ($1799) I'm giving it consideration and ...

Does anyone could suggest the best routing on Kronos to import a single stereo track in logic? Which bus should I select for the S/P DIF L&R ?
Why not just save the wave file from Kronos to a USB stick and import (Open) it in Logic? (Sorry if I misunderstood you..)

Ron, As Diego points out above an audio interface will solve all of the issues you are having. If you were going to use Kronos alone then USB would be fine but if you're looking to add a microphone and heaven knows what else next week, an audio interface is the answer. It's a very simple hook up ...

After downloading the driver it most likely will go into your downloads folder in the dock. Drag that folder to your desktop, open it and launch the installer for the driver. (Install) Close and quit the installer, run disk utility for your Mac HD. Reboot the system and check in your Audio MIDI ...

If this is true then by all means you are correct about using an aggregate device.

If you have an audio interface don't bother adding an aggregate device. 1- USB to computer 2- Add an "External Midi Track" and select "Kronos Sound" as the Output. (Do not select "Use External Instrument" It will not record or playback your button pushes!) 3- Add One "Aux Channel Strip" - on the ...

Just curious, have you transferred all of the Kronos data to the editor and then saved it to be loaded it each time you start the editor? This will help somewhat with the transfer and receive time when selecting and editing. - Or are you loading/transferring All each time you start the editor? This ...

Make sure Kronos is in sync with the editor. To do so go to the transfer page and do a get all from Kronos. After it's complete save the file now when you open the editor and load the file, Kronos and the editor will be in sync and it will say so at the very top of the interface. Now see if you have ...
