Bank Type Discrepancy between Kronos & Software Editor

Post by peedeebee »

I'm getting errors when trying to use the SoundQuest Kronos Editor to copy a program preset from one EXi bank to another EXi bank. I think it's because the software isn't recognizing the bank types correctly.
Has anyone had this problem...or know a way to correct it?

I get the same problem. Frustrating. When trying to copy or move a patch, …sometimes… it will work. A lot of times it wants to switch whatever bank it wants too so be careful. If I figure it out I'll let you know. Just encountered it for the first try on using it. It def. won't copy more than one patch at a time either. Kronos pops up an error on the screen sometimes too.

Make sure Kronos is in sync with the editor. To do so go to the transfer page and do a get all from Kronos. After it's complete save the file now when you open the editor and load the file, Kronos and the editor will be in sync and it will say so at the very top of the interface. Now see if you have the same problems and errors that you mentioned. I really hate to say it but a good solid read of the editor manual really is a good fix for many issues… hope that helps.

Many people are happy using Michelkeijzers PCGTools for patch management. It's just a librarian though, no editing.

I think I'll try that route instead. That's all I really need.
