Successfully used audio track timestretch?

Does anyone have experience of succesfully using the sequencer timestretch facilities for audio tracks. I seem to have a problem getting it to work - but maybe I don't even understand it properly. Lets say I've a audio WAV file of drums at 180bpm - and I wanted to slow those down to 120bpm. I set ...

Dan, I notice you've gone to the trouble of cutting out the reference to a sequencer enhancement before saying 'no'.

Does this mean we can expect the long awaited (7 years for us Oasys owners) sequencer enhancement as well? That would really get me excited.

System crash / bug in Sampling

Ahhhh - almost 6 hours of meticulously sampling drum sounds and labelling them all yesterday - wasted with a crash. Very frustrating as I've had 6 years with the Oasys and no problems and then this with the Kronos after 4 months. I'm sure it must be related to a bug I seemed to be experiencing often ...

Bump

Surely someone from Korg must understand the overall workstation architecture and whether the first question (if not the second) is possible?

I've been following this topic with interest - as just over a week ago, with some time on my hands - I decided to dust off my 2004 XP laptop (which hasn't been used for two years but has my Karma Oasys software on it) and finally learn how to use Karma and the software. [Unfortunately my current ...

Selecting GE RTP bug + workaround

In putting together a short tutorial for the Kronos Arps thread I came across the following bug. I searched and found a reference to it by Stephen Kay - so I'm sure those at Korg know about - but didn't see a direct reference to the problem (apologies if I missed it). So here it is and here is the ...

Two v.technical Karma questions for you karma gurus -

- As I've been questioning Stephen enough recently and I know he's v.busy getting the yamaha software out. a) Can midi CC envelopes be used to control dyn midi events within the the same GE/program? I've set up a midi CC envelope (CC 83) within karma. I've then set up Dyn Midi 1 with the source as ...

Not to worry - just found it.

It's not in the most obvious place as you need to be in the Kronos sound libraries and then select the option on the left to logon.

Thanks for the pointers.

Anyone have a view on the credits?

Thanks for the replies.

I'm probably missing the obvious but I'm not sure where to login or on what site.

If I go to www.korg.com there doesn't seem to be a place to login. Nor does www.korgusa.com which seems to be more geared at dealer logins.

Help Please - Purchasing Sound Libraries

I've just bought the Austrian piano using a credit I had for my prior Oasys purchase. Initially the korg sound libraries screen came up with an authorisation code but unfortunately I moved from this screen, and now can't get the screen back. I don't seem to have been sent an email with the details ...

Q for Dan. The Sequencer - I don't get it.

Let me start by stating what this thread is NOT about. Opinions on the sequencer on the Oasys and now Kronos generally fall into three categories a) group A. Would like to use an onboard sequencer more - thinks it's way below par for an instrument of this calibre b) group B. Use the sequencer on ...

Unfortunately for the parties involved this soap opera evolving over the weekend has been better than any film. Not for years have I followed a topic so avidly. - Would this PJ character admit his wrong doing when clearly caught out? - Would a senior guy at Karo step in to try and salvage the ...

Controlling SW1 for M3M

I'm trying to use my Virus TI to control my M3M. Unfortunately you get to be able to assign control to rotary knobs rather than switches. Nevertheless I set up one of the knobs to CC80 and another to CC81 with the hope that I could mimik the behaviour of the switch by turning either to extreme left ...
