Help Please - Purchasing Sound Libraries

Post by domc »

I've just bought the Austrian piano using a credit I had for my prior Oasys purchase.

Initially the korg sound libraries screen came up with an authorisation code but unfortunately I moved from this screen, and now can't get the screen back.

I don't seem to have been sent an email with the details, and when I've returned to the Korg sound libraries screen again, it's trying to get me to repurchase the Austrian piano, rather than saying I've already got it.

Please could one of the korg representatives who are often here tell me what I should do.

On a separate note, those of us who had previously bought an Oasys had credits for puchases of sound libraries which expire at the end of March. Even if one was to buy all the available sound libraries today, I'd still have some credits left - and some of the libraries I'm not sure I want. It seems a bit mean to give the oasys owners a credit, but then have it expire before presumably all the intended libraries are available. At the moment Korg is forcing people to buy all of the currently available libraries and even then the unused credits will expire in two weeks. Was this really the intention?

Any help gratefully received. Cheers, Domc

I can go to the Korg USA website and select "Register & Login/Logout" from the menu on the left. After logging in, I can see the Auth codes (Keys) for the sound libraries I purchased. You should be able to find your auth code this way.

If not, I would suggest contacting Korg UK Product Support. They should be able to help you.

** KORG Product Support Contacts **
(they support BOTH hardware and software)

Korg USA Product support -- https://www.korgusa.com/contactus (For fastest service I would suggest calling them on the phone)

Outside the U.S. contact your Korg Country Distributor -- https://www.korg.com/us/corporate/distributors/

As this is primarily a user to user forum, you would probably be better served contacting Korg customer service. http://www.korg.co.jp/English/Distributors/ can direct you to the place.

Log onto your account the details with your authorisation code are there somewhere along with any other purchases you have made. You need to have registered your Kronos as you will get a unique code so the library only works on YOUR Kronos.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm probably missing the obvious but I'm not sure where to login or on what site.

If I go to www.korg.com there doesn't seem to be a place to login. Nor does www.korgusa.com which seems to be more geared at dealer logins.

Not to worry - just found it.

It's not in the most obvious place as you need to be in the Kronos sound libraries and then select the option on the left to logon.

Thanks for the pointers.

Anyone have a view on the credits?

Yes, but do you want an honest answer, or one designed to agree with your viewpoint?
