My experience with sf2 in Kronos is that it sounds similar to sf2 played on a computer. So if you just want to find out what sf2 s you have sound like , use software "sforzando". Link below. It's free, Mac, pc, standalone, vst, audio units.

I have SR Pro 5, but have not yet tried the KMP export option. I have successfully used SR2 files. They work smoothly, and end up making user ksc s . Must try the KMP option, but unfortunately a bit busy on other things. But will try and post my results. There have been a number of posts here on ...

Has anyone had inconsistent triggering issues with RPPR. I've found that there is sometimes a short delay after I quickly hit the key, a lot of the time it works instantly but can vary which kind of limits its use on short fast little stabs

I have the original Kronos. Just wondering how these slower processor machines handle the new OS. Any noticeable increased sluggishness of operations?

Omnisphere is superb. But it does not operate as Standalone. Need to run it in a DAW. I use it in Ableton to compliment my Kronos sounds. So another thought is if the $499 for Omnisphere is an issue, and you have a Mac, then go for Daw MainStage, for $30. It has synths built in, and now has Alchemy ...

Re: Simple explanation of sampling a whole keyboard

I want to sample my Mellotron Any pointers gratefully received. :D R Alan I use SAMPLE ROBOT 4 Pro. Available for Mac or PC. Works reliably and still getting updates made. Highly recommend. Bit pricey but works, takes the masochistic factor out of sampling. Can do multi velocity level, auto ...

I have experimented using Setlist Maker with Kronos Setlist and Ableton live for my soft synths. So different workflow and not having to deal with that extra pad push you asked about. But thinking through your existing setup, 2 options come to mind. 1 Use SetList Maker as a song list database to ...

Velocity Curve feels different 3.0.2

Has anyone noticed a different velocity curve with the upgrade? I find I have to select 6 to get same feel as when I used 4 on previous os versions. I have an original Kronos that had the key bed replaced. What happens to keybed calibration in latest update? Dan?

The "service manager" at Korg USA, not having big enough balls to call me and explain the situation, has relayed the message that the manufacturer no longer supplies this crucial replacement part. . I've confirmed that these parts are available to authorized Korg service centers. I have heard that ...
