SongBook Compatibility 4x vs 5x
Sounds very promising Tony, thank you so much. This would save me huge amounts of time and effort obviously. I can easily live with 90% results. Most likely less in my case, since I've acquired extra after-market styles elsewhere. Either way, not a show stopper. Question: The update "1.2.0" in your ...

How to read songbook on Mac (PA4x)
Would anyone be able to provide insight ? Thank you. I understand there are limitations for Mac users. So……. Problem: my PA4x will be sold shortly, and I would very much like to save time and effort by importing my current songbook into a new PA5X. I realize of course the many outstanding issues wit ...

Pa4X vs Pa 1000
Hi guys, just had to add my two cents. I'm repeating many comments here. So feel free to ignore.... Just swapped my pa1000 for the pa4x because I missed the 76 keys. previously owned the 3x but traded for the 1000 due to weight issues when gigging. Then the pandemic hit; also realized "oops" I ...

PA4X Compatible with PA1000 ?
Hi guys, I just received my new PA4X. Upgraded from the PA1000 which was upgraded from the PA3X etc etc (onward and upward I suppose) Was wondering if it was possible to load the styles and songbook entries into the 4X from the 1000 without worrying about data corruption etc. Will it all work or are ...

JSS Resources 2018 Review
First thing, it is worthwhile reminding you that this software upgrade ONLY works on the PA1000 and not on the PA700 or PA4X !!!!! I have owned many KORG arrangers over the last ten years; PA3X and PA800 among others. My latest acquisition, PA 1000, was the result of a weight issue with my PA3X. As ...

SUCCESS !!!!! Changed Track 3 Volume -THANK YOU
You guys are really amazing. Thank you John. It worked. I located the Ctrl 7 on the Event Edit page (after filtering out all the other garbage) and sure enough the value was right there looking up at me, "50". SO that was it! Quite easy to increase the volume now. I don't know how to show my ...

Midi Track Volume Changes
Acutally guys, now that you mention it. I found it bizarre that in this case Track 3 starts out as a guitar, then almost immediately (after measure 2 or 3) the piano starts for the balance of the file. Didn't think this was relevant, sorry about that. So the track is not "clean", correct? The ...

Midi Track Volume Changes ???
Correct ! This is an imported midi file, not a style. There is only one, single change needed; ie. to increase the volume on Track 3 (curently at 50, s/b much louder--it's a piano intro). At this point the Master is at full (127), otherwise I would just jack up this track. Coming up empty right now ...

Changing Track Volume on Midi
Must be doing something wrong. The Master is set at max (127). What I would like, is to increase the volume of only Track 3. Yet when I try as suggested, the Volume option does not show up. The screen defaults to 'Note', with no option for Volume when rotating the dial. I did the following: Menu ...

Editing/Saving Volume Changes to Midi
Many thanks John, this looks easy enough; I'll try it and post a result tomorrow. I would assume then the same procedure will work for an "individual" track. That is the overall (master) volume is okay but we just need to increase the volume of a certain piano over the other tracks. Following this ...

Changing&Saving Track Volume on Midi File
Hi guys, Would there be an easy way to save changes to a "track's-volume" on a midi (SMF) file without using the Sequencer? And, if I need to use the Sequencer what would be the correct procedure. It's fairly easy to change the track volume in Song Play mode but volume changes are not saved, even ...

Thank you Frans
Just tried it and so far so good. Thanks again.... To be clear, I assume you are referring to the "Write" current resource on the Book Edit1 page of the SB. So now my plan is to check off both "Write" boxes (current resources + STS) whenever I make changes to pads, keyboard tracks including their ...

Songbook: Volume on instrument tracks & pads
Hi guys, we use the Songbook to save our set lists. But for whatever reason, and even after I make the necessary changes to the Songbook, when I restart or reboot; all the saved data is lost (ie. I lose the corrected volumes to both my instruments and pads). Each one reverts back to the default ...

Changing&Saving STS / PADs
It worked perfectly. Many thanks Frans!!! I don't why this process isn't clearly documented in the manual??? But I am extremely grateful for your support. I love this machine. I hope I live long enough to get more out of it. There's so much to learn and so little time....... Best regards from Canada ...

You guys are great. Many thanks for the tips. I must admit that I too get really frustrated with the manual. But with great help like yours plus this excellent forum it makes life a little easier. Cheers, and please keep up the great work. For whatever its worth, I do promise to read the manual again.
