Songbook: Volume on instrument tracks & pads
Hi guys, we use the Songbook to save our set lists. But for whatever reason, and even after I make the necessary changes to the Songbook, when I restart or reboot; all the saved data is lost (ie. I lose the corrected volumes to both my instruments and pads). Each one reverts back to the default volume setting. This is causing me a lot of anxiety and frustration. Can anyone offer some advise. Again, sadly for me the manual is not that intuitive. Sorry for the trouble

Thank you Frans
Just tried it and so far so good. Thanks again....
To be clear, I assume you are referring to the "Write" current resource on the Book Edit1 page of the SB.
So now my plan is to check off both "Write" boxes (current resources + STS) whenever I make changes to pads, keyboard tracks including their volume.
Example: am I permitted to replace a guitar with a piano on one of the keyboard tracks or would I simply add it to or replace/overwrite an existing STS?
I thought somewhere I read that changes to existing styles was not allowed?
I will test the changing of instruments on the keyboard tracks as well and let you know. Have a great weekend. Cheers!

Maybe it's time to really get together and ask Korg to start using plain English for their OS commands?
'Write current resources' means very little, 'Write style performance' is pretty self-explanatory.
While I don't use a Korg currently, I have a close friend with a PA3X, and I have to confess, this is probably the least intuitive arranger I have ever used. And most of that, I hate to say, comes from Korg's use of VERY weird nomenclature for functions that are common to just about every arranger out there.
Yes, if you have been using Korg's for years, you have probably got it down. But this forum is loaded with questions about fairly simple things that are made baffling by Korg's weird choices of words for things. I know that many of you are used to this, but you have HAD to get used to it! Maybe it's time to ask Korg to become a little more friendly, and grow the brand.
I believe that, without dropping features, there are ways and means of making the PA series MUCH more user-friendly. And that could start with a much more transparent and self-explanatory way of naming stuff!
