The manual says you can upload files with many different extensions, e.g. .aif or .wav. But I can only see .set files in "Media" mode and only .mid files in "Sequencer" mode. Anyone know why I can't see other file extensions? Also, is there a thread that shows the basics of how to build a style?

I think I may be a little unclear as to how to use the device port on the back. I've tried to use it both as a MIDI and a typical USB. Sorry for the confusion, but when I mention the "software" it is the midi driver I was alluding to. I updated the midi driver & hoped that would make the difference. It didn't.

Over the last couple of years I have tried, unsuccessfully, to set up a MIDI interface using the device port on the back of the 800. I thought that the new midi install software might help. It didn't. When I "ENABLE" usb in the media menu, I get the "Windows" sound for s new device, but cannot see ...

It's great to be humbled when in the end I've learned something. You guys were right. The PADS work as advertised! I simply had to HOLD the stop button longer then press the PAD I wish to stop.
