MIDI software

Having been reading this forum for sveral months, I know this is a simple question for your guys (& gails):

I played a Technics and copied wav files into a computer. Then I burned CD's from there for family & friends. The songs, however, were unedited. I currently have my PA800 MIDI'd to my PC. Is there inexpensive software, shareware or freeware out there that allows me to edit individual tracks, then convert to wav, then burn? Most important is being able to edit the tracks individually!
