I like to play more than one PAD at a time, then stop one or more PADS during a performance but continue to play one or more of the PADS.
For example, PADS 1&2 are playing. I want PAD 1 to continue but I want to stop PAD 2 from playing. Page 48 of the Manual says "Keeping stop pressed and pressing one of the PAD buttons only stops that pad or button".
Here's my problem: the millisecond I press STOP, ALL PADS stop playing. If I press PAD I first & then press STOP, as soon as I press STOP, ALL PADS stop playing. If I press stop first then press the PAD I want to stop, again, as soon as I press the stop button--anytime--ALL PADS stop playing.
I would like to know if this is a problem with MY kbd or if I am missing something. I am still under warranty but don't want to have to send my kbd off somewhere!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope I'm missing something!

Hi blkbltstd
It is exactly as the manual says - I use this often.
Press and hold down the STOP PAD button and then press the pad you wish to stop - this does not affect other pads that are playing. If this does not work on your keyboard, then you may have a problem.
Cheers
Pete

Re: Playing & stopping PADS
Hi,
just tried it on my PA800 os2.1.
Pressed pad1, pressed pad 2, bothkeep looping. Press Stop Button & hold it down, whilst holding stop button is held down I press pad 1 & Pad 1 stops playing, whilst pad 2 continues on.
Bit of a dumb question, but, the pads you're using , are they definately looping pads or could they one shot pads?? Are they factory pads or user pads??
Some pads only play thru once wheras others loop continuously.

It's great to be humbled when in the end I've learned something. You guys were right. The PADS work as advertised! I simply had to HOLD the stop button longer then press the PAD I wish to stop.
Thanks again!!!!
best wishes
