I found a way to do this. It's a little difficult, and not perfect, but it works.

From a business perspective it probably doesn't make sense either. You'd want to keep the M3 special, plus people can get a good DAW free(like reaper), included with OS (garageband), or for low cost that blows away any functionality you could put on a 4"x4" screen on the keyboard. I sympathise with ...

4c) If you don't know a lot about sound design (I admit I'm a beginner myself) I would suggest getting the Producer.pcg from the M3 and loading some of those programs. There are some darker ones on that set. See here for what to do: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=54065 ...

ebrown1942,

I think you would be interested in the Roland GW-8 or Roland Prelude. I owned a GW-8 for a while and it sounded great. It has the mp3 playback you are looking for.

You may have a program change recorded in the track so no matter what you do it resets it. This is more likely if you load a MIDI file, but could happen anyway. You can remove this. I haven't had to do this so I don't recall exactly but you might need to remove program changes from the track. Use P6 ...

I tried to solve this when I first tried this also. http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... highlight= It appears this is just how RPPR works and there is nothing we can do about it.

I may be inthe minority here, but I would advise caution. The M50 and other workstations are not built for beginners. This is not to say that a beginner can not use one and learn, I very much encourage that kind of enthusiam, its just that if you are truly a rookie to piano and music in general, I ...

I have been using my M50-88 on a X stand, low enough for me to sit in a chair and play on, in my home for a whole year now with none of the problems you report. Hmmm, might be time to use that warranty.

I haven't done this myself but you can change thte MIDI channel the chord triggers use. That should do it. The parameter guide says Program screen 1-8.

I went down this road. http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=46563&highlight= My implementation is to change timbres on the fly, but just change the section about recording and actually record your notes instead of program changes. It'll work the same. The nice part of the key ...

Funny you should ask this. I owned a GW-8 and I traded it in for an M50. I agree with cabobs questions you need to answer those to know which is for you. This is because the M50 is a workstation and the GW-8 is an arranger. I would read up on the differences between the two types as this will inform ...

If you don't actually need to do this in any random key, then I might suggest you simply record a 2 patterns(one G and one F) and fire them with RPPR. It would be the same effect and not use an arpegiator.

Nice! On Spanish Butterfly, which of the guitars are real and which are M50? My ears told me only the distortion lead was real. Is that correct? Also, if you don't mind me asking, I've been looking to purchase a FireWire pre amp liek yours. My audigy sound card is sucking and I can't seem to tune ...
