M50 Tracks Won't Arm for Recording

Post by Berkley »

I'm using an M50-88 and when I create a new song, it will allow me to choose instruments, arm and record tracks at first, but once I name the song and/or save it to card, I can no longer arm any tracks for recording. The Record selection is just not there - only "Play." When I press the Play button on a track, it only grays out and disappears instead of changing into Record.

As far as I can tell I have all the memory protection unlocked.

It's very frustrating not to be able to go back and add more tracks once I've saved a song. I can't find any posts on the subject or locate any related answers in the documentation.

Any suggestions?

Problem Solved

Okay I figured it out. I went to Preferences and selected "Multi REC". Now I can arm tracks for recording.

I love this keyboard!

Wanna hear it in action? Go to this link and click on "Backslide" and "Spanish Butterfly."

Hi Berkley,

Great Songs...so relaxing to listen to. I was curious..were the drum tracks created on M50?

Look forward to more of your music.

Nice!

On Spanish Butterfly, which of the guitars are real and which are M50? My ears told me only the distortion lead was real. Is that correct?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, I've been looking to purchase a FireWire pre amp liek yours. My audigy sound card is sucking and I can't seem to tune the thing to get a clean signal. Do you like your PreSonus? Any others you looked at?
