I once found this: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... 002#237002

On the Yahoo group mentioned there is a PDF file with instructions for the ES-1.

Shame they didn't include song mode or the switch to turn the effects on/off per part.
You can switch effect send per part and step. The UI has a "FX Send" button. See http://www.korguser.net/ielectribe/en/fx_send.html.

Is it just me? or does this thing look and sound like it's going well down the list of desirable grooveboxes. £500 no less! Now let me see.... You could add an ESX or an EMX or any two other Electribes to your setup AND have change left over OR get a TR Diddilydinker. mmm let me think. Afaik it's ...

I don't think he will come up with a Tetra keyboard soon. It is a good selling point of being able to sync the Mopho keyboard with a Tetra... I believe quite some people with a MK will be buying a Tetra some time after. Two units sold. :)

Of course if you want some better quality an audio interface (external soundcard) would be useful.

I really doubt whether the ESX will read the entire 2 GB's, if you ever find an adapter. Perhaps the > 128 MB sizes of SD cards is the reason why there aren't any Smartmedia adapters, since Smartmedia only went up to 128 MB.

Thanks for clearing it up.

I don't find the audio level issue on mine a big problem but I can imagine it does for some people. So is there any fix?

The knobs next to the tubes are for calibrating them. There should also be a very detailed procedure in the Electribe itself (hidden under some key combination) that measures (and calibrates?) the levels itself if you make some cable connections (presumably from main out to audio in). But I can't ...

When the unit has just fired up I also have this on an ESX. The left channel is a bit down compared to the right one. It disappears after a few minutes.

This is very likely due to the tubes. I hope to replace them one time.

The EMX and ESX sure have internal memory for patterns. On the ESX you will want to use a card to transfer samples from another piece of equipment or a PC. On both units you might want one to save backups of patterns, songs, etc. Look here for cards: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic ...

E-MU previously announced a keyboard MIDI controller with a built-in sample based sound engine, effects, etc. Press release: http://www.emu.com/news/pressreleases/pr11609.asp

Though I haven't seen much from it. Not unlikely it won't have a sequencer or even sample new sounds.

Korg ESX-1 dust cover

Hello I've been looking for some company selling dust covers fitted for my Korg ESX and bumped into this one: http://www.digitaldeckcovers.com/ They sell dust covers specific for the ESX-1 and much more in different fabrics ( http://www.digitaldeckcovers.com/korg-novation-cart.htm ) for about $20 ...

Why no real accu... I guess that's due to its "cheap" design, targeted at the market previously buying the MicroKorg. Adding such stuff adds up to its price. A higher price makes people expecting a lot more in functionality as well (in which I think it is lacking some things compared to the ESX-1 ...

Korg sells some Smartmedia cards themselves: http://www.korgusa.com/korgusa/items.asp?Cc=ETC&Bc=. But you pay $70 for only 64 MB.

Or you can get a 128 MB xD card and a Smartmedia to xD adapter.

If this also happens with the factory samples (download is at Korg website I believe) then this most likely is an issue with the unit itself.
