also note that in the PCM (for the synth parts) sounds there is few settings with drum samples mapped across the keyboard. In theory you could have a dif drum sound on every step. Also, for fun try setting a synth part to Dr-perc (76) and messing with the arp. forgot about this. that's true, good ...

Thank you getting back to me and sorry for being so vague. I have a EMX-1 and I want to be able to add more drum sounds than just 1-5, 6A, 6B, 7A, 7B while creating a drum pattern. On my old DR 202 drum machine I can add up to 13 different drum sounds while making a drum pattern. So, I'm just stuck ...

Re: How many drum sounds on a drum part?

Hey everyone, I want to know if I can record more than 7 drum sounds when I'm creating a drum part. And if I can, how do I go about it? Thank you this is all pretty vague. what model of Electribe are you working with? are you asking if you can apply more sounds to a pattern than there are available ...

TI want to be able to create a blank pattern then go into the preloaded ESX samples and pick a hi hat, snare, kick drum and make my own drum kit then go into the keyboard part and pick a bass and a lead and compose my own pieces then save them....is that even possible? of course. once you've ...

something tells me Easy Off is too powerful. The stuff I used, didn't cause me to cough or anything, EO makes me choke. with any of these products, one should perform the application outside or in a well-ventilated area, and if you're going to be in close proximity to the "over-spray", use a mask!

Also the build quality and even sound quality on the mkII machines is better. actually, other than the aluminum face panel and different knobs, the internals of both the MKI and MKII are almost identical, as is the sound. Korg made no improvements in that arena whatsoever. it must be a ...

Would that leave the lettering on do you know? I would do that in a second if I knew the lettering would stay. Looks awesome. i've never tried it. perhaps gil can offer more specifics on the precise product and process he used. if not, you can always use the Easy Off on a small "test" portion of ...

i believe all of the "newer" Electribes are anodized aluminum, in which case you can use Easy Off oven cleaner to remove this coating. however, care should be exercised as oven cleaner can be nasty stuff to breathe or get on your skin. search online for specific instructions, do the removal in a ...

in order to record audio from your Electribe to your PC, you must have an audio interface. MIDI only transmits note and control information, not sound, which is why you're not hearing anything from the Electribe; the sounds you are hearing are those of Ableton being applied to the MIDI information ...

If you have Revolution, i think the EA becomes less important, right? I think i might get the EMX and then a Revolution, and not bother with the EA. If you have e Revolution you dont need an EA which has a cheaper sound. well, i wouldn't say the EA sounds cheaper, as the Revolution is just an ...

xmlguy wrote:To do what you describe - using the MK to control the sound of the EMX - you need the MK midi out to go to the EMX midi in. You have it hooked up backwards.
this also could have been gleaned from the manuals, but yes, it's a starting point, i suppose.
