Hi to All Prologue users! I still havn't quite got one yet. I have tried several times to buy one and just not had much luck. I will keep looking but there are so many other synths I want so it's hard to choose. I sometimes ponder do I really need another synth when I have so many already that can ...

ISO OASYS-PCI analog cable
I am considering getting an OASYS-PCI but cannot find one that is not missing the analog breakout cable. Does anyone know the signal routing of that cable, and can provide a diagram? If worse comes to worse I will get the card and a PowerMac G4, and meter the DIN8 socket until I figure out the ...

Thanks. I posted here since there is no OASYS-PCI topic. I already have everything that could be found concerning the OP, except any technical documents which apparently never made their way outside of the design offices. I had an OP in a G4 once several years ago. I have a Z1 and Prophcy, among ...

Korg User Net plugins not for OASYS-PCI
I have had the Korg Legacy Collection for quite some time now. For some reason, I never before noticed the "OASYS" button on the site. I don't have an OASYS but I do have and OASYS-PCI. Do the plugins available work with the OASYS-PCI, or only with the OASYS? I haven't found much documentation to ...

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm curious about the OASYS-PCI in the poll. How does one use a MOSS card with an OASYS-PCI? Is there a MOSS PCI card? Or does the M3 MOSS card somehow attach to the OASYS-PCI? I use EXB-MOSS in my Triton Rack. These days, though, you can get a Prophecy for less off ...

Hello Leo Thank you so much!!!! Yes indeed, if I compare those two files, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE OASYS IS STILL PLAYING IN A DIFFERENT SOUND LEAGUE THAN KRONOS. I wonder why almost nobody else is reflecting on this fact. The OASYS sounds better than Kronos, no doubt. So I am really happy two have ...

As far as I've read, chaining MS2Ks is strictly usable for control only. Both units have to be set up with the same banks ahead of time. They can't be edited via the chain, only played. That's the way it was designed. If you change a sound in the keyboard, it has to be manually sent to the rack unit ...

Thanks. I also learned that earlier from the manager of the OASYS-PCI department at Korg, which is still fairly active, and from whom I obtained the SDK (gamma, available after signing an NDA.) There was yet another OASYS-PCI on eBay. I may go for another one to put in my Windows computer some day ...

I think he was indicating that the OASYS has finally been retired with the arrival of KRONOS.Charlie wrote:Interesting description - thanx Kevin!![]()

Which turned out not to be true. They posted the wrong photograph. It's a plain, ordinary DW-8000. I am still dickering about it. For a company that prides themselves on the accuracy of their listings, they sure don't appear to practice what they preach. Anyway, I tried programming the EX-8000. From ...

That doesn't sound bad to you? The fact that I am playing the keyboard in the middle register and the EX-8000 is playing in the highest register it can produce? Why did I even bother to do this? Am I delusional and imagining all this? If I were fantastic Mr. Fox at this point I would declare I am ...

A video of the EX-8000 in action has been posted on YouTube. Other issues not shown in the video include the same octave timbre repeating up and down the keyboard, and apparently random silent octaves for some sounds. Also, and this may mean nothing since I have not heard the original sounds in toto ...
