couldnt get it working untill i physically held down an ea-1 key. strange. not ideal either as id prefer 2 hands free. :-/

so it seems that i need to have something sequenced through the unit rather than just using it as an external effects unit? i dont want to start sequencing with this thing as i use cubase. do i need to leave some midi tracks playing through the ea-1? wont this have some strange results to the sound ...

so, im having a problem with the audio in on my ea-1. when i take a line out from my soundcard in to the ea-1 i cannot hear anything until i press the audio in through button. ive tried numerous sound sources and cables/connectors but i cannot use the fiter at all! there must be something simple ...

maybe an electribe could do it but you may be better bouncing layered audio samples, then probably compressing (nyc and ducking)?

ive just got an ea1 and nearly had it talking! cool.

anyone got any good patch settings for this thing? i know i can just tweak myself but ive not even hooked it up yet! this is studio night aswell! ;-0

had my first muck around with this last night with headphones and thought it was quite good. had a read at the manual which shows you some basic settings to create sub/pad etc patches. just a thought: im wondering if there are any patches i can download that can then be fed into the memory for use ...

looks like my perception of this machine was off the mark. lol. and as i dont have the machine yet, i just took it for granted that it was more of a tone module than a 2 part 2 osc synth. i didnt know about the audio input socket either!

out of curiosity, how do you use your ea1?

yeah, gona sequence in cubase and use the electribe as a module rather than a groovebox.

cant seem to find a script anywhere and dont want to write my own one. all that msb/lsb crap etc... its a minefield.

i dunno what youre talking about mate.

to use any synth ive used before with cubase you start with the preset then use the synth to sculpt the sound the way you want it.

hi, ive been looking for a cubase patch name script for the em-1 for a while as my mate is bringing his over tomorrow for a jam. the only things i can find are: http://www.filetransit.com/download.php?id=22182 which might be ok if it works, but id really just like to use it in a sound module mode ...
