no, what you need to do is either a)"resample" the song u made in sequencer mode which will create a .wav file on your usb drive, then you can hear what you've made. Or b) connect ur usb and use the m3 editor software to edit what you made in seq mode and have it play back thru the m3.

Anyone know if there is a correlation between the release of windows 7 on the 22nd and the release of a version of the m3 editor compatable with windows vista 64???

First, yes you do have to save all songs to an external (usb) drive. That's no problem because that way you can save more songs than if it were saved to internal memory and you can back up on your computer or whatever. When i save a .wav file using sony sound forge and try and open it on my m3 it gives me a "file contains unsupported data" error message. what do i have to do to avoid this? Thanks

Anyone have tips for cleaning the m3? I've usually kept mine covered by a plastic bag at night but i've noticed that if i scrub, black gunk will come off of pretty much every part of it. SO.. any tips on how to clean all the sliders, keys, and TOUCH SCREEN? Thanks folks.

agree cause this is bs. I bought the best i could and i'm like crippled by not being able to use the editor. I learned by programming EVERYTHING in through midi on reason so without the ability to connect it makes my m3 a lot less useful. I mean f, if it worked i'd love my setup but good old vista...

Where exactly is that...?? I'm looking in the .pdf owners manual parameters guide and can't seem to find it. I'm looking for a description of the p6 'track view' buttons. What do each of the buttons on the side do...?? ahhh

That's what i thought too 16 tracks at once, but when you go to GLOBAL mode then P1 MIDI at the verrry top of the screen it says 'MIDI Channel....' and only gives u the option for one? I haven't seem to be able to get more than one to respond even in SEQ mode. Have u personally gotten it to do 16 ...

I agree with McHale, however as an owner/user myself i highly suggest you bring a usb 2.0 memory card (or try and get the seller to throw the one he must have used on it in.... ;) ) and test it out by reading up a little and making sure you can save/load files onto and off of the external media.
