Any recommendations on how to actually replace the slider cap once I have a replacement. Just want to be sure of the procedure so I don't break or stress something while I do it. Please advise?

Man don't do it no matter how tough your situation. You will be eternally sorry you sold it. I would never ever sell mine. These instruments come only once in a lifetime. And no the Kronos is not the Oasys and not any better if you consider its distinctive quality and workmanship. DON'T DO IT.

SPDIF is nice, but I like the control you get with ADAT when comparing the two instruments.

You do know that if you had an OASYS this would never be an issue as you can go out on ADAT light pipe. No signal deeneration when it comes to light. A fiber is a fiber for the most part. Believe me I work with this stuff everyday.

Don't open till Christmas! Opening before is a cop out.

I think you should not exaggerate when purchasing cables. Save yourself a ton of money and buy the cables at www.monoprice.com . I've used this same type of cable and others and the quality is excellent as well as the prices. No-brainer of a decision.

As we all know the Kronos has the set list feature. What is commonly used out there by performers today when using computer and VST application for live performance and quick switching between sounds or sound groupings? Please comment and advise.

Well if you look at that design if one screw comes loose the whole thing comes down. Not a sound design. Quite honestly if I were gigging with my OASYS 88 I would have it on a standalone stand because you often don't know if you'll get minor bounce off of stage risers or uneven surfaces of any sort ...
