The SD version is worth it because you probably want to hold on to your electribe for a number of years. Smart media is already obsolete. While there is much stock of smart media to be had, the fact remains that you are buying old technology. If you go to the music store, they might sell some albums ...

I have noticed the clicking as well. It's not a huge problem for me since I like to use the noise source a lot and this causes the clicking to be much less audible. I seem to recall more people talking about the click noise but I don't remember where I read it. This doesn't mean that both of our ...

I, personally, am the most excited to add a Monotribe to my own studio. They should be on store shelves in a couple of months. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMX-T5Nx4is Otherwise here are a few ideas: A Kaoss Pad is a pretty good addition. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owkeBOcC-AQ A cheap synth ...

Oh I got your point. "Where I was going with my post is that it is a different kind of instrument and not really in the same category as an Electribe, hence my opening statement "I'm not sure why the Spark is getting play on these boards" Maybe it's you that missed my point. Here it is again. My ...

You want to pick apart any generic combination I put together. You seem to just want to argue and have TWICE missed the whole point of what I was saying. They are not the same kind of instruments. Thats's it, that's all. Got it?

Do you work for Arturia?

It's functionality can be duplicated and surpassed by many different combinations of existing software and midi interfaces What functionality is surpassed? The allure is DEDICATED hardware for software. NI Maschine is the only other option. Why should KORG make ever have made an electribe? When its ...

Me, I'd like a software interface to go along with my electribe. I'd like using real names for samples and kits. I'd like USB drag and Drop, multiple MIDI ports etc... A soft editor. These don't sound like fantasy ideas or a wish-list. This sounds like the basic level all current gear reaches. Now ...

You will probably have more luck finding an answer in the Apple section http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=58 Off the top of my head, though, it would probably work like: Monotribe audio output > Audio interface input jack > USB out of interface to iPad CCK > iPad Garageband ...

I have to say that its interesting that you are doing this kind of stuff and have never heard of Cevin Key. Skinny Puppy? I could see you not having heard of Coil or Cabaret Voltaire even though they are relevant. At least tell me that you know who Kraftwerk are. Hell if I know where to find full ...

Sorry for the long delayed response. My wife and I had a baby in between then and now.

The guys made the Download project when the internet was in its infancy. It was a pretty cool name at the time. The name is probably terrible as a search term these days.

I was going say this too, though I don't remember the 80s. modern music in an 80s style is more like La Roux, this is 80s: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUsbpmQ9-mc La Roux doesn't really hit the mark. They are a weak corporate version of Ladytron. La Roux even seemed to borrow a lot from Ladytron ...

I presume that you are talking about a Radias and not an R3? Anyway... I have no experience repairing either of these units but as a profession, I work with metrology test equipment. This is an educated guess at best but it sounds like you have a faulty display driver or a problem in the display ...

Cool pad, Axxim! It ended up sounding a little like the intro to Clockwork Orange minus the upper-scale lead notes.
