Keeping sequencer track settings during real time recording
Can anyone tell me how to keep the track selections I make when real-time recording a song in the sequencer? For a given track, I select the instrument program I want to use, and set the volume, then record something. However, when I press the Locate button to return to the start for playback, the ...

Moving M1 songs to M3
I have 20 years worth of recorded songs on the M1 that I'd really like to move to my new M3. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this so I'll have a lot of questions. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Okay, here we go ... My first big problem is that unless I wish to re-record all the drum ...

Rob: Does that mean you haven't found a way to get them either? If you did manage to get them loaded in user bank E, can you please tell me how? As far as I can tell, the procedure to reload them - using the load tab under the media mode - is in the supplementary manual and I have tried that - No ...

You are correct about the EX-USB-PCM03 sounds - they just "replace" the sounds for the pianos in certain of the programs. However, in the M3 Xpanded supplementary guide, it explicitly says that EX-USB-PCM01 and 02 programs and combinations are supposed to be stored in user bank E, and further, in ...

Rob: I'm stuck without the expansion card for the moment, so I've been trying to load the PCM modules one at a time. I have been following the instructions in the M3 XP Supplementary Guide. However, when I load in either the EXPCM01 or EXPCM02 modules, despite the messages the M3 displays saying ...

New M3 user from Ottawa, Canada
Hello: My name is Carol and I have a M3 (73-key) unit that I'm just getting used to (after 20 years on an M1 :!: ). As usual, the manuals don't seem to have the answers to my questions :? :x , especially on issues dealing with M1 to M3 conversions. As a result, expect to see a number of cries for ...

Loading additional PCG sounds into memory
Can anyone tell me how to properly load additional programs into internal memory? I've got some additional sounds in a .pcg file that I want to load in, and using the Media menu, I can select the .pcg file and load it. It appears that the sounds are loaded properly, but I can't find them in any of ...

Loading expanded PCM modules other than EXPCM03
Can anyone tell me how to properly load the EXPCM01/02/04 modules? I have them on a USB device, and as long as the EXPCM03 module is not also on the device (since this module loads automatically on M3 start-up), I expected to be able to use the Media Load menu to load one of these other modules ...
