I bet Pete is right John. Some Midi files are protected and with many you have to change the track event coding. Like 7 is volume that you have to change in the menu event edit screen and change the value. To change the sound you can see the factory assigned number as you look at the tracks in the ...

OK - So maybe not. Any suggestions on a tablet or notebook with rotating screen (to lay flat on music stand) that is in the 13 " to 17" range, Windows 7, 64 bit and good battery life, etc. ?? I have not seen a suggestion that really has all of this. And again, the stated reasons why Apple will not ...

I have been following everyone's comments and great evaluations on display systems for gigs and really need to pick one. It seems to me that after all goods and bads are weighed, the Music Pad Pro seems to meet more needs, but for the cost and difficulty/time required to load in all of your sheets ...

OK -- I have tried to create a link to Box file sharing to post my early morning Mp3 recording of James and Rob's Irish Rhodes. Pardon the playing errors, way before coffee and I intentionally (most of the time) varied the key pressure and kept the volume up high to try to get a feel for the sample ...

Rob and James -- You and whoever contributed to this project should really pat yourselves on the back. Fabulous performances and sounds. I can't help but punch up the Rhodes a lot. Good ole' rock and roll is really "hear" to stay !!!!!!

Hammer -- I have had this happen only once. I selected the next song in the set list and then went back up and re-selected the first song and it worked fine. I think what can happen is if the song you finish playing is not "off", meaning the track is still playing and you switch songs too fast with ...

I have to agree with Keith on this one. My two man band lost a regular gig to a Karaoke gal based on the same economic logic. Cheaper to hire her and get the younger crowd than hire us and have the regulars. The owner told us they just made more. Plus, they said less hassle. Don't have to set up the ...

Hey Lee -- I also want to load MP3 and midi files for the same reasons when I am playing live to allow others to join in with their songs. I tried to load quite a few just Mp3 files and could only "copy" to the HD. It looked like all of the songs were being copied but when it was done copying and I ...

gskip A couple of thoughts. First, you should copy it off the smart disk to the HD to really try it, although it should play just fine. The quality of the midi file is of course very important. The PA2 will of course, play the General Midi sound or sample according to the midi code assigned to each ...

Pacesetter Welcome to the PA2 world. These folks in the forum really can help and know the system. I too agree with many bands using various digital track systems to enhance their show and midi is very easy to edit and use this way. Don't be afraid to change sounds to the Korg sounds and samples ...
