You could try using this http://skratchdot.com/projects/open-electribe-editor/ I haven't tried it for the default sample but something might be in there. As for blank patterns I saved everything onto a smart media. goto global, shift + 16, turn the knob till it says CardMenu Save then hit 16. Load ...

Thanks for the quick reply and suggestion, I think I've figured it out. Here's what's happening incase any one else has this problem (i'm using a ESX-1). I have all mono samples but some samples are stored where the stereo ones are in the memory so it treats them as stereo even when there not. So if ...

Does the EA1 have 2 synth parts?
I was wondering if the EA1 has 2 synth parts and if it does can I use one through midi and another playing a pattern?
I had one ages ago and I can't remember if it could. I might buy one again if it does I miss that thing.

ESX - Sample flashing and can't be heard?
I thought it was a one off glitch but it's happened again. I goto load a sample to a drum part and the name of the sample displays, the sample number blinks and I can't hear anything when I hit the drum part or put some in the sequencer. Once It happens whichever sample I try and select the number ...

Why don't you use the midi keyboard and the control surface to control live and the emx to do emx things? Sorry if I've totally missed the point of your post. I don't actually own a emx but I have a es1 and a ea1 and I've had a bit of trouble synching up with live I thought it was me being thick so ...
