Somehow while playing, I changed my default sample to #231, meaning every new, blank pattern that I pull up has sample #231 assigned into all the one shot/ drum slots. Weird.
Anyone know how to change that?
Also, bonus points if I could make the default blank patterns not have the first sample track play on the 1/4 notes. I always have to clear them.
ESX default sample changed on me

You could try using this http://skratchdot.com/projects/open-electribe-editor/
I haven't tried it for the default sample but something might be in there.
As for blank patterns
I saved everything onto a smart media.
goto global, shift + 16, turn the knob till it says CardMenu Save then hit 16.
Load it into the editor.
When I used it to delete all the patterns I didn't want for some reason it used the last pattern in the machine in place of all the deleted ones so you could make a blank pattern in the last pattern and that might do it. If not you could probably do it in the editor.

Default sample
Thanks,
I use the open electribe editor and haven't looked in there regarding the default sample. Weird things is that it changed on me while using the electribe, so it should be possible to change it on the unit. Must be a hidden thing like the old "up, up, down, down, left, right, b, a, start."
