I got a chance to play one last week. My expectations were really not that high. It's been a while since I've owned a Kurzweil (K-2000). The one I played had not been upgraded to the V1 OS. To be honest (and I'm a huge Korg freak), it was one of the best sounding synths I've ever heard. I played it ...

I agree with you completely. It's a great joystick but way too low. Very awkward in trying to manipulate it. You have to train yourself to operate it at the top of the stick. It's fine if you have tiny fingers. Maybe Korg will make an extension that can be removed. The low position makes it much ...

I have to agree with Sani. Korg shines in the combi department. Now if you don't care about combis then no big deal. I like the Motif XS but other than a few combis (i.e. "Kogarashi") they just don't do much for me. They give me the sense of just being thrown together. But I don't know, I wasn't ...

Got a chance to play the 88 today. Very nice. Just can't play synth worth a flip on the heavy keys. It was nice to finally be at peace with my direction of choice. Gonna keep the CP and go with the soft keys on the M3. Now, according to the GC saleman the prices won't be marked down until Sunday ...

GC may be discounting the M3 for their imfamous "Presidents Day Sale". The sales guy wouldn't tell me if it was on the proverbial list... But I'm seriously considering the M3-88 instead of the 73. If it's discounted plus the addition of a free Radius-M, plus 12 months same as cash makes it awfully ...

Are you really set with the TE and XS? I'm have the same dilemma. I've had the TE for over three years. It's great. I like the XS too. But the M3 sounds better to my ears than my TEX. Love the new action too. I think the TEX and M3 are different enough to compliment each other rather than becoming ...

It depends on what you mean by "fast". Fast as in Classical or Jazz piano style of play, or fast in terms of synth oriented type of music? I've had several opportunities to play the 88 and 61. If you're a piano player you will like the RH3. It feels like a piano more than any other Korg action IMO ...

I've actually witnessed that being done as well. It wasn't a GC but it was a very big music store that sold a lot of Korg gear. The Oasys was connected to some top of the line studio monitors and the M3 was hooked to a bottom of the line keyboard amp. You get the picture. I can't believe how good ...

I guess I'm missing something. To me the M3 sounds very fat and lucious. Of course when played through those ridiculous keyboard amps at GC (no offence if you have one) the M3 sounds weak or whatever. But through my AKG headphones, it's simply heavenly and I haven't even heard the Radias yet. I like ...
