Pa1x noise and problem

Post by dykorg »

Hi
I've had a problem with my PA1X longtime and sent it to Korg service to check my pa1x without a solution.
I installed the latest OS to but still same.
Is there anyone here who could be the angel to solve my problem?

When I start my Pa1X everything works as it should be after a while you hear a noise that comes and goes, then the sound goes when I have it on the Style Play mode and can not hear the sound.
Each time the noise stops the sound I have to go into midi then pressing the Local Control deselect and select again the sound comes back and works then. If you do this several times restarting my pa1x automatically.
I'm just going crazy, is there someone who recognizes the problem?

Thanks

I had a similar thing and it was the mic input knob on the back. Turn it off and see if that helps although if you've already had it to Korg service you would think they would know to try that.

I have almost the same problem. Except that, I have noise and sound of the instruments are so low that it's not even registering in my daw. Serviceman told me I have to change the PCB Main Board. $1000.

Or 650 to buy and I can put it myself.

Hope this hlelp.

But my question now is the following:

I have midi files in my daw and I need the sounds

1) Can i get the sounds from inside the korg (samples) using usb connection?
2) Can I get a software that will act like the PA1xpro hardware so i can get the sounds.

Basically, how do I get the sounds for my midi?

Thanks.

If your DAW/Computer can send midi data (you should be able to change output to your computer port within the program) it will work but Pa1x must use the older style (7 pin?) connector and most computers don't have this any more. I think you can get an adaptor to a USB port on your computer.
Would be easier to transfer files to your Pa1x if you have a hard disk and play them that way.
