EXP2 Expression Pedal with the SV-1
Hi folks. I've got the EXP2 expression pedal hooked up to the SV-1. It's working fine, controlling wah and volume, but the minimum volume setting on the pedal doesn't seem to have any effect when used with the SV-1 as a volume pedal (bummer!). Does this feature only work when using the pedal as a pass-through?
EXP2 sensitivity
Hi, noticed you are using the EXP2. I just got mine, and practiced once with it. Do you know if there is any way to adjust the foot pressure/sensitivity to make it a bit harder to push down, seems to me to move at the slightest foot pressure, which is way different from any foot pedal I am used to. Trying to lower the learning curve, thanks.
Bass and keyboard player, not usually at the same time, but sometimes in the same song!

Re: EXP2 sensitivity
I have the same pedal and also a Roland and an M-Audio. Of all the most comfortable to use is the M-Audio. It does is a bit harder to push than the other two.holdsg wrote:Hi, noticed you are using the EXP2. I just got mine, and practiced once with it. Let me take a look at the EXP2 to see if trying to tighten the screw that holds the axis to the pedalboard can make it stiffer.

It certainly doesn't bother me-- I just wish that the minimum volume was configurable. It's too sensitive for swells.jerrythek wrote:It is the spec/design of the SV-1 that it doesn't go down to complete silence. That is different from most other Korg keyboards - does that bother you? It certainly does bother me. Some time ago i have posted the following:jerrythek wrote:It is the spec/design of the SV-1 that it doesn't go down to complete silence. That is different from most other Korg keyboards - does that bother you? I'd be interested in knowing...
You can find my post in this topic: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... highlight=Keyboarder wrote:I am using a Yamaha FC7 Volume Foot Control Pedal.
Unfortunately I am not able to get my Pedal to work properly as a Volume Pedal. If I lower down the Pedal to the lowest position the sound won't go off and pushing it forward toward the maximum position the sound isn't getting continously louder. It seems to be like an exponential curve. So little changes on the Pedal near the max position results in huge volume changes - this is really annoying!
Maybe I am doing something wrong? Does anyone have an idea / any help?
So, it isn't only that the sound doesn't go down to complete silence when pedal is at lowest position. The behavior of the sound troughout the whole pedalrange doesn't suit to me.
Yes, I have calibrated the pedals.

EXP2 Expression Pedal with the SV-1
I've just received the EXP-2 and can't seem to get it to function with the SV-1. I have followed the SV-1 UM and also tried some logical hook-ups but nothing seems to work. Can someone give me some guidance, or is there something wrong with this combo? Thx
Never mind: I found info on the xvp-10; use the output2 rather them input for the connection.
As for the volume, it doesn't cut out on the low end, which I can live with; but when I switch from piano to organ it jumps to full volume and I have to tap the pedal to get it re-set properly. Any hints? Is the xvp-10 any better?

EXP-2 Pedal
I am finding the same trouble. Cannot use the expression pedal recommended when playing the organ. Difficult when trying to switch back to piano sounds.
Anyone come up with any solutions? This is frustrating.

There is NO solution then tap the pedal again to lower the volume of the organ again. And, watch out, if you tap the pedal for a different sound, it wil lower that sound as well..!!
But again, we have posted this in an older topic, but we never received an anwser from Korg...
