Thank you. I shouldn't have said unsatisfactory as it was interpreted as preferences, point taken. I did mean the referred keybed issue. df, your probably right about it being a small possibility. I like the synth engines and the way that Korg has implemented the whole, especially refreshing to see ...

thanks for the info. I did get off topic. I'll ask about those questions at the proper location. On topic...does it come down to basically that a new purchase is a 50/50 chance of unsatisfactory keybed performance and that an authorized repair/replacement is also 50/50? I've been away from this ...

Have been reading trough the parameter guide. Yes, I did get that info regarding karma thank you. As for powerful, flexible synthesis under one workstation device, its certainly the most featured off the shelf at this time. As my original post stated and with further manual reading, on paper, this ...

GregC: You do bring up very valid points especially to those who may be starting-out with workstations or lacking experience with multiple hardware synths tied together via midi. I have also many times advised those who wished to pursue that direction when I determined that they were gear lust ...

According to the manuals the inputs and outputs are definitely all 1/4" TRS balanced connections.
Just checked the I/O specs. You are correct.

Re: new customer...perhaps

just curious. Since you just bought the XF7, which is the flagship workstation from Yamaha, how would the Kronos fit in ? Thanks for asking. Well, as some of you may know, the XF certainly is well built and that goes as well for the internal lay-out and components. The software, as intended is ...

You didn't state by which device your kronos was connected in order that the signal has become "balanced" since the K doesn't have balanced outs. You mentioned balanced cable so, I assumed you were connecting the K to another device such as a D.I. or un-balanced to balanced line driver, etc device ...

new customer...perhaps

I bought a Motif XF7 and am considering adding a Kronos. What is the official, if any, status on these keybed issues currently? I've read through most of the conversations here but, hopefully someone may know or advise me. Should a new customer have to consider that these units are still not revised ...

I don't want to filter the modwheel, which refers to having the modwheel data passing or not passing through midi. I want to scale: decrease, increase, depth +/-, you know what I mean but can you do this in combi?

ModWheel in combi mode...

Hi: What, if any, functions that are currently targeted by modwheel in combi mode, can be edited. For example, if the modwheel were addressing various targets across a number of layers, can you go to a location within combi mode and offset or other term, change the degree to which the modwheel is ...

A few points have been missed here. For example, can we evaluate specifically the record/playback electronics of the digital recorder used in a recording of recording company "X" of a Mozart symphony by listening to the CD on our home stereo or other playback chain? No, we can not because we would ...

the Kurzweil KDFX processor included in their present keyboards has already been established as a top performing unit- both as was implemented in the rack unit and on their keyboards Are you saying that the verb in my PC3 is better than the Korg reverb? Just wondering. I haven't spent enough time ...

Some thoughts about digital reverberators... First, as regards the O-verb as a mastering verb. Well if you mean on the master bus of kronos, then sure, it will be very serviceable. If you mean as master for audio being brought-in to kronos, it depends on the source/arrangement. Most important is the ...

When folks offer replies to one who is called rude or offensive, but insist on quoting... "the f*ck*ng editor" as used by the accused, I'd have to wonder. How can anybody truly be offended? Did you all make the Kronos? I can see that the OP's approach lacks politeness, but why that would offend ...
