ModWheel in combi mode...

Post by philmagnotta »

Hi:

What, if any, functions that are currently targeted by modwheel in combi mode, can be edited. For example, if the modwheel were addressing various targets across a number of layers, can you go to a location within combi mode and offset or other term, change the degree to which the modwheel is set. If, for example, modwheel were addressing :
layer 1. filter cutoff
2. voice level
3. vibrato level
etc, etc. So, Is there an edit page to offset or other function to address the degree to which the modwheel is affecting the various layers or does one need to go back to program and do it there?

Check out the "midi filtering" pages. That should help with many functions. If not, then you probably have to go in at the program level and disable over there. 8)

I don't want to filter the modwheel, which refers to having the modwheel data passing or not passing through midi. I want to scale: decrease, increase, depth +/-, you know what I mean but can you do this in combi?

Yeah, you can't afaik. Unless you know what the modwheel is affecting and it is accessible through ToneAdjust, or if it uses AMS or D-Mod in the effects section, you'll have to go back to Program mode.
