Parts is parts did not include instructions or double sided tape as some do. He cost more but is the "authorized" dealer. Somewhere on this forum is a link to a very helpful youtube video. Or search youtube, you will find it. Guy seems to fumble through but mostly shows how to get it done. GOOD LUCK!

Success???

Well, yesterday felt like a good day. The touch panel is installed. Finished at about 12:15 A.M., therefore I did not install the module back into the keyboard to test all functions. I fired it up, and the screen seemed to work flawlessly, even without calibrating. Hopefully it is a long-term ...

I am just a little bit nervous. There is a youtube video which looks like it will be a great help. I also have a good friend who is very patient, I may have him separate the old panel. From what I'm reading that may be the toughest part. One thing I didn't mention...the screen seems to screw up the ...

M3 TOUCH PANEL being installed today..ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I love my M3-73 that I bought used. Worked great for a couple months, then the touch-panel started getting quirky. One day it basically didn't function at all. I could not calibrate it. I went ahead and bought the $80 touch panel from PARTS IS PARTS. (yes, I could have paid $20, maybe for same or ...

M3 levels

Hello everyone. I am programming my M3 for live performance. I use sequencer mode so I can use RPPR for drum patterns. Key sounds are patched through IFX eventually to LR outs. Drums are patched to output 1/2 for separate signal to board. In some "song" setups I am getting a much higher drum level ...

hmm, I replied to BB, but I must have never submitted it. As I had previously attempted to post. I learned that when I upgraded to expanded, it replaced the sound set. So I really do not need to do the factory reset. Thanks to all who have responded, Yes, Stephen. been working with the manuals ...

Hi Bill, I bought it used, and have only saved 1 or 2 custom programs or combis. I want to load the original sounds, because I'm really not sure what the previous owner has tweaked in there. Yes, I was going to use the function in the global menu. I just don't want it to revert to the old OS. And ...

Its never a good idea to downgrade the OS on any Korg workstation. There can be problems.
Understood. I do not want to downgrade. I just want to restore factory settings, but first I want to make sure this will not bring me back to the old OS.
Thanks again

2 questions on M3

Good afternoon all. A couple of quick questions about my newly acquired, used M3-73. I read here that I should never go back to the older operating systems. If I restore factory settings, will I still retain the current OS? (2.0, which I know is not the latest). Also, the ribbon controller seems a ...

Deciding on KROME or M3 73

Hi, I'm trying to figure if KROME 88 or M3 73 is best for my particular situation. Currently I play live in a 3 piece band using a TRITON RACK for all my sound. My controller is a Kurzweil SP88 Tedious to program. NO aftertouch. It's only for a midi controller, not sound. We do not have a drummer ...

REVERSE VOLUME?

Is it possible in MULTI mode (or any mode for that matter) to program the Triton-RACK to respond to a volume or expression control-change in reverse. In other words to have the volume go up when it receives a down control change and vice-versa?
Thanks,
TOMMY

Triton Rack Battery

Does the Triton-RACK have an internal battery? I've been using my rack for better than 10 years, and have never had an issue. I have a lot of customized COMBIs and PROGRAMs. So I guess I need to save them to a new PCG file, to be on the safe side. I've seen some posts indicating there might be an ...

Fan noise

Well, I've been considering buying a KRONOS X 73 key. I must say, that I'm not so sure, with the whole fan issue. Makes me wonder about overall quality. Intent was to use it in home studio and live gigging situations. I LOVE my KORG Triton Rack. And was considering the M3, but would like to jump to ...
