Hello everyone. I am programming my M3 for live performance.
I use sequencer mode so I can use RPPR for drum patterns.
Key sounds are patched through IFX eventually to LR outs.
Drums are patched to output 1/2 for separate signal to board.
In some "song" setups I am getting a much higher drum level output than others.
This is happening even if I am at a similar level in mix page.
Can't find where the difference is coming from.
Any thoughts?

Which kits are having the higher output problem? Are you using just one kit and that same kit has varying levels per song setup, or are different kits being used? The Gated Funk kit, for instance, is quite a bit louder than the non-gated Funk kit. The Low bit Kit also has some extra punch to it... There is also some variation in levels of the samples within each kit, so different patterns on the same kit could play somewhat louder compared to other samples in the kit (which is what Bald Eagle is talking about in his post).
Likewise, some non-drum sounds may be a bit quieter relative to other non-drum sounds, and perhaps that could account for the difference? Furthermore, are the effects used at the mixing board for the drums the same for each song?
In any case, the easiest thing to do is simply mix down the louder drums a bit on the M3 and not worry about it.
