I have pretty good amps and a pretty good set of headphones, and I always hear more and more clearly with my headphones. They are right directly to my ears and the stereo separation is absolute. I am not surprised at the difference. My speakers sound good too, and I really prefer listening to them ...

I believe that was Roland that had the 10 year warranty. We had a Roland digital piano(HR555) at our church and the keybed went bad at about 9 years and a few months. I found out about the extended warranty by accident. I called Roland to verify. They replaced the keybed, but we had to pay some ...

Ojustaboo, there is a little difference. Kawaii hasn't had a zillion(Translated by Korg as a small amount) boards with keybed , fan and other problems being returned. The problems with the kronos must have Korg bleeding money for repairs. Its got to be harder for them to deal with the problems with ...

Good luck with your new unit, Ojustaboo. I hope you enjoy it. Alack and alas, there were many problems with the Kronos for apparently many people. Clearly you tried to work with Korg, and as a matter of fact, they tried to make corrections. Sometimes you just can't get there from here so to speak ...

[quote="Ojustaboo"]As I've said many times Korg, its not that some of us get problems that's the real issue, The real issue is that while the number of reported faults n the last 8 months has been small, in almost every single case, the way it was handled and what the customer had to put up with is ...

Krome Keybed Problems

I have no complaint about the Krome keybed, except that it could easily be better. I consider it to be very similar to the keybeds of a number of keyboards in its price range. The one glaring error(which does not bother me) is the fact of the hinging of the keys so that if you play up close to the ...

I'd want a new board. I wouldn't have kept the first one. To buy a new board at what the Kronos costs and immediately have to send it in for an eight week repair, and then have it doing the same thing when it is returned to you is beyond unreasonable. Especially since the problems with the Kronos ...

I am not a Korg fanboy at all, and I like to think I tell it just like it is. I see some things that I don't like about the Krome keybed, but not to the extent that I would trash the board, because I really feel that I got my Money's worth. I really like the board. It has great sounds and features ...

I've had the Krome about three months, and to this point have found no reason to complain. The keybed is not the same as the one on my Motif XS, but it is very satisfactory. In my mind, it is equal to the one on the Juno Gi. I play my Krome practically every day, and I have to say that I paid what I ...

Reading these posts presents a wonder to me. Why would anyone ever keep a $4000.00 keyboard that had those problems? Or even a $3200.00 keyboard? Any Casio bought from the Wal-mart seems better made. It can't sound that much better than a Yamaha Motif. I'm just flat missing something. I can't see it ...

The fan! The Fan!

Remember the little person on the TV series who looked out into the seas and announced the coming of the boat(Fantasy Island)? We're waiting for Korg to announce: The Fan! The Fan! Fantasies aside, it is such a puzzle to me why Korg won't solve this problem with the Kronos. There's gotta be a reason ...

The ding should be accounted for. A discounted price, etc. It is not unreasonable to expect a pristine unit if new and at the prices that one has to pay. I have in the past, upon receiving a scratched unit, taken a picture and sent it to the mailer(an internet house) and they gave me the option of ...

I was reading this post and wondering, because I had seen brand new Kronos 61s selling in the $1700.00 range a couple of months or so past. As a matter of fact, as best I recall, I could have purchased one of them. I don't recall the retailer, but it was a legitimate offer. I saw several offers well ...

I understant the manufacturer's reasoning for using the wall wart. It just seems to me that they could make them universal. At least for sure, they could have two or three types according to power required. Say for example, Type A, type B, type C. They could then say, use type B adapter, etc. Of ...

Take a deep breath, swallow real hard, cough a few times, let a tear roll down one cheek, call a Korg repair facility, check the cost, let a tear roll down the other cheek. get it repaired. Hug your kid. Surely he meant no harm, and could the lamp have fallen on his head? Sometimes, a misfortune can ...
