To me the em1 has a sound better than the emx. Imo its punchier and more raw. Its got a real analog feel to it. I only notice filter aliasing on very high notes or parts that clip due to how freaking low the bass can get. I try real hard not to hype this machine but its a winner. Of course it really ...

Sorry for the late reply. I just wanted to say i'm a big fan of the em-1. Its sound is just perfect imo. I have and esx which i use all the time and love and an em-1. I use them both to sequence other synths and samples and internal sounds. I have to say if one had to go it would b the esx. The main ...

Thanks for the review. Man thats a real bummer about menu diving. That was the thing that sold me on the electribes in the first place. NO menu diving and practically every shift press labelled on the unit. Once you get the gist of using it there's no need to refer to the manual. I'll be keeping my ...

I have found the cheapest way to repair this is to find a used korg ax100. The guitar or bass version. Either one will work. Desolder the pot from it and desolder the old pot on the em1. Then solder the ax100 pot onto the em1. Works great! The shaft of these potentiometers are shorter than the ...

It might work or may be a little loose. I would try and get the correct size. The biggest thing with the electribes, esp the emx esx, are the direction of the pointer or direction arrow etc. the smaller knobs on th esx the pointer is south facing or the pointer is lined up with the flat part of the ...

Original settings

It seems like there should be an original settings indicator for each pattern like onthe es-1. There are dot indicators on the led readout.

This seems like a confirmed bug. Hopefully a lot of these will be squished in the new year. Do you who own the new electribe think these are completed units or are do you think they were rushed or are just flawed?

So the new firmware 1.03 addresses the 'gap' issue. I have read it makes things more managable but doesn't fix the issue completely. Is that the case? Is the gap issue a timing error or a drop in the internal sounds?

I'm only guessing here but i assume 2s hardware is identical with just a different color shell. If there is ever an update to the 2s i am gonna try loading it on my mini kp2.
