What are your thoughts on the Waldorf Quantum?

I want to buy a dedicated synthesiser that’s more in depth to go alongside my Kronos 2 73 version. I thought of the Waldorf Quantum but then of course there are many others available. The one I want has to be top of the range and modern.

Please advice or any opinions welcome.

GregC: When they got me the replacement it was all factory sealed and taped in original box and I even asked them to open it and I checked everything before I took it away, it is A grade stock brand new. The Key was fine upon first few use but after 8 weeks of playing every evening after work the ...

Hi, went to the dealer to pickup the Kronos from repair, then I saw all the damage it was done to it and I was really disappointed and not happy as it was in mint condition when I hand it in for repair. After contacting Korg and sending them the photos to them, they authorised the dealer to give me ...

Kronos 2 73 Keybed design fault?

I only had my 2nd replacement Kronos for 8 weeks and already one of the keys when I press it sounds like a metal piece is loose or not fixed properly and the hammer action is moving like it’s in contact with something inside making like a scratchy sound which is very minor to hear. I don’t know how K ...

Anyone experienced keys going faulty within 6 months?

First I bought a Kronos 2 61 keys then exchanged it to get the 73 keys version and it failed within 6 months of usage. A dead pixel occurred on the screen and some keys sounded like something is loose inside. I’ve sent it away for repair with Korg under the warranty and it took them 2 months to fix i ...

Yes, I bought it brand new from them and it was factory sealed. Can it just be repaired rather than replacing the whole unit? Reason being is I saved a lot of sounds and bought new ones and added a 2nd SSD inside. I don’t really want to go through the struggle taking it out and starting again with e ...

I think my Kronos 2 73 Keys is faulty

I bought it on February this year. Unfortunately, it developed some minor faults where some keys when you press them I can hear something is loose than the rest of the keys. I haven’t pressed the keys really hard or anything to cause this. I am an experienced keyboardist and had a few other k ...

Adding a 2nd SSD, do I have to format on PC first?

Hi,

I bought a 2TB SSD and long 90cm sata cable to install on my Kronos as I'm planning to buy lots of sound libraries and do other stuff in the future.
Can I just install the drive and let the system do the format or I have to pre-format it on PC?

regards, Patrick

Add additional sound libraries on a 2nd SSD? What size?

Hi, I’m planning to buy more sound libraries from the Korg shop and synthcloud website featuring Dream Theater Jordan Rudess sounds and others. I want to leave the original boot drive as it is and get a 2nd SSD but not sure how much storage I need. Is there a limit with the Kronos? should I upgrade t ...

Should I exchange my Kronos 2 for 73 keys?

I currently have a 61 keys and I always had 61 Keys keyboards before. I want to exchange it with the 73 model to learn on weighted keys (make my fingers stronger) and to future proof because at some point I want to split sounds between the keys and don’t want to worry about octaves and such. Are the ...
