Re: KRONOS Relaunched!

I just imagine a Kronos 3 is what we would have anticipated being an updated/upgraded Kronos that solved some of the problems a lot of us ran into with the previous versions. Most of our complaints were just about the Kronos Workflow. I dream of better streamlining on the Kronos. Every save I do I ...

Re: KRONOS Relaunched!

Why does it have the same polyphony? Aren't the processors faster now? The good news is when ours breaks, we can buy another. Because it is using the exact same setup as the Original Kronos. This was also the case when the Kronos 2 was released. It featured a slightly upgraded Intel Atom chip that ...

You can get relative cost efficient Keyboards with Poly aftertouch today. There just isn't many of them. Best value today is the ASM Hydrasynth Explorer which is a 37 mini key version of the original Hydrasynth. Beside the Poly aftertouch which is amazing on a mini key Synth its a darn nice 8 voice ...

The Musikant version is made in Germany, or at least the software (styles and sound edits). Dependent how it works you might be able to put a Musikant version on an International. Not to be harsh against any Germans, but I would feel very bad if the actual keyboard had German labels on the front In ...

Have to agree with that. I'd be very happy to have the capacity to replace the GM banks that I never use with my own. Not sure if the GM banks is software loaded or hardcoded, but if they made extra banks for the Nautilus, can't be that hard to make a system update that can load x amount of banks ...

I would very much like to get a copy of these exi sounds. Really too bad Korg don't offer a sample set of the new Nautilus waveforms. Pretty sure they could make some easy money by just converting them as is and let users self worry to make any usefull Karma settings themself, even making a simple ...

Great works on this, as the Korg half damper pedal is expensive and I really don't like its design. And like you other guys, I have always been using Roland pedals as they are both sturdy made, reasonable heavy to not roll around if you get your foot of the rubber pad. I have have had 2 normal ...

Its not supposed to be a new or "better" Kronos". This is released only to combat the Modx. There is some "acceptable" cut downs from the Kronos in a cheaper package for those who don't bother with aftertouch. The modxalso have slightly more simpler modulation matrix than the Montage. Korg have ...

Re: noob needs more advice: Kronos or not to Kronos

--I can afford it, though saving money is still a consideration --I can accept not figuring out a big chunk of the Kronos IF I am able to master basic sequencing, tweaking presets, etc., by no means am I looking to use this thing like a professional musician or even an advanced amateur --I know DAW ...

It might be fun to put something really absurd or obscene on the screen and watch people's reactions when they check out your rig. Haha .. I'll keep the porn somewhere else at home. But I bet more than just me would find it very usefull to be able to put in a custom picture that have the ...

Fully agree. Beside the Italian paint/Piano job there is absolutely nothing new in these models, and the price they are charging for the Piano is kinda absurd. Beside that, Its really hard sometimes to decide even you can try the 3'rd party libraries out, if they are worth the often premium price ...

My OCD came over me today. So I sat with this little sample bit and was creating a new program for it, and it struck me... this speaking sound do not at all sound like 3 60-70 year old vicars singing  So anyone know if its possible to create your own .jpg file (or other format) and use it ...

The main problem with the Kronos file management, beside you really need to read the manual and understand it 100% what is saved and what needs to be installed for backup to another unit being possible, is the friggin way Korg manages 3'rd party sample library keys. I know some of the biggest celeb ...

The Kronos is unfortunately not very acurate in operating the touchscreen, even you calibrate the screen once in a whil, if you are not of the youngest or just have bad eye sight, big fingers (like me) etc. The first thing you buy AFTER the Kronos is a stylus pen, and then an usb keyboard. That ...
