Thanks for your input guys, I have decided to change the Musikant for the Standard International version based on your responses and the follow points:

1. I prefer the external finish and colour scheme of the International model.
2. The German labels on the deck and in the screen pages is a distraction.
3. I believe the resale value/desireability may be an issue when the time comes to buy a new model.

Before I send it back I would like to copy the Styles, Sounds etc for use in the other model when I become familiar with it but I cannot work out how to do it.
Can anyone offer step by step guidance for me, happy to share. Thanks again.

The Musikant version is made in Germany, or at least the software (styles and sound edits). Dependent how it works you might be able to put a Musikant version on an International.

Not to be harsh against any Germans, but I would feel very bad if the actual keyboard had German labels on the front

In retrospect I baught my oldie Yamaha P9000Pro in Germany. It was a complete deal with added Harddisk and filled with very usable german made styles and a good ammount of really well recorded Midi file songs. But the actual Keyboard was a standard P9000 Pro tho, So only names on styles wich already back then was only shown in the display had partly german names wich you could always change.

Korg do have a way of registering eg their sound packs in the Kronos and Nautilus to the serial number of the unit so these versions of the Pa4x and Pa5x migh not be able to just be copied.

I was strolling around here to find out about the difference between the 2 versions. The Pa5x Musikant is not available yet so the Germans is propably still working on the programming. But they do have a good way of making the instruments much more enjoyable for the European market compared to what the Japanese put into them from the factory, making life much easier for those that don't have the initial skill to program their own styles and accompaniments from scratch.

So if you like more realistic Valtzes, Polka's, Disco styles, Italian pop etc. that fit well into the European and scandinavian countries music the Musikant version is most likely well worth it if you can afford the extra 500 Euro or there about.
