Have you tried going to Track Parameter tab and set the status to INT and assigned the midi channel to one that is not being used?

If you're in sampling mode, I think the only limit is how much RAM you have. I have mulitsamples that have 35 or more samples.

They are still needed. I know you can stream samples from the hard drive somehow, but I have all my samples/multi's in sampling mode and if I mess with them it messes with the programs I created from them.

I don't have the kronos 2, but it sounds like you have to authorize the new sound libraries that come with it. Perhaps someone here can tell you how to do that. The sound libraries will fade in and out until they're authorized.

I think you can demo the sounds on the korg site.

I'm pretty sure he did it in sequencer mode. In any case, that is what I did. Transfer midi file from computer to thumb drive, then load file. This places song in sequencer mode.

I'm not sure what the problem could be. I tried recording a second track after opening the sequencer via quick set up and it recorded fine without having to make any adjustments. You might want to check the manual (if you haven't already), for some good info on how to work with the sequencer, or ...

Can you give some examples of which ones? They may be EX libraries which require a key to activate. They are freebies that come from the korg site. Until they are activated, they are listed in the program banks but have no sound.

The MIDI cables should go Kronos MIDI OUT to interface MIDI IN, and Kronos MIDI IN to interface MIDI OUT. Kronos should send MIDI data on its MIDI OUT port by default.
