Kronos 2 pop song programs/patches
Are the 80's song patches, i.e. "Don't stop believing", "Imagine", "Won't get fooled again", etc. found in the Kronos 2 exclusive?
In other words, I have the first Kronos workstation and it does not contain these programs. I would like to know if I can load these specific programs into it. Can it be done? And if so, how?
Thanks

Those programs are included in system software more than 3.0.
Update your KRONOS System.

Sorry, this is incorrect.onsenonsen wrote:Those programs are included in system software more than 3.0.

The OS has nothing to do with the PCG being loaded.
Those pop sounds that are being referenced are part of the Kronos 2's built-in expansion library, EXs17/18 + KRS07 Popular sounds collection.
The only way to get them onto a non-K2 Kronos is to purchase the expansions:
https://shop.korg.com/kronossoundlibraries
If you notice the top expansion is the one I'm referencing.
Korg Kronos 88 2, Korg Kronos 73, Kurzweil K2600S

Re: Kronos 2 pop song programs/patches
Oh, I seem to have misunderstood. Thanks!
Hey taydaddy - all of those sounds (except Imagine) are available for your Kronos in 'FamousSynths vol1-2' from the generous Mr Busch. These were free downloads from his site & I believe are still available. There is a total of 119 sounds in this package that are classic/ pop sounds.
Busch also has other soundsets & they are all top-notch, plus most of them are free. He set a very high standard for generosity in sharing his sounds!
As far as loading any sounds just search this forum. There are LOTS of helpful posts explaining this process.
Hope this helps,
Larry
