I'm loving this O beast
Have now transferred registration to me and downloaded all the extra sounds, effects and most recent OS - all of which are installed.
Having explored all the sounds am now beginning the deep dive... wish me luck!

Having used for some time my Oasys, i must say that is a very deep and complicated synth, almost like having an old analog modular.
Those days in order to make some sound you spent hours and hours of frustating in order to learn how to do things.
I admit that i'm in great dificulty in order to understand the Oasys and to make things work for me...
I want to use it live, it's multitimbral ability was my first desire when i bought it.
But i can't fully understand it, it's also the language difference (i'm Greek) with the manual and the thinks are bad. I almost think to sell it in order to buy a couple of modern analog synths that are more simple to operate...
I know that maybe that's wrong, but i can't play the music that i want, i bought an instrument that i don't understand...
My music is mainly electronic, like Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, etc...
Please advise! What can i do?

1. Workstation experience
If you have experience with Korg workstations (for example Tritons) in general, you can start to use the OASYS similarly, and later you can learn the rest. If you don't have such experience you can ask a friend to help.
2. User manuals
The manuals would help you a lot. I think your local distributor should provide a Greek translation of the documentation of OASYS (at least the Operation Guide) for free.
3. Sticky topics
We have many useful information collected for new users in English: Oasys Resource List and Oasys Trips and Tricks.
4. Greek users
a) We have a Greek user here called "panzernik".
b) At Karma-Lab I found another Greek user, "Karis1".
c) Maybe Sharp (the forum's owner) or Mike Conway can also help you. They both may know other users from Greece. I also recommend to order the DVD from Mike titled "The Unofficial OASYS DVD" even if it's in English.
5. Foreign languages
There are other language threads at Karma-Lab site. There is no Greek yet but you can start.
Your OASYS is perfect for "electronic music". But if you can't find enough help or it seems to be too difficult to use, I think don't waste your time. Sell it and buy something else you familiar with. In this case try to advertise also right here on this forum.
Best regards and good luck,
Akos
Thanks for the reply.
From today and on, i will start with the manual (operations guide) just like i do with my lessons in the university! page by page!
I will give it some time...if we can't live together, well, life goes on...
The only Korg Keyboard that i have is my only keyboard, the MS2000. This is perfect for me. The Oasys is more powerfull, but in some ways the MS sounds more vintage to my ears...

The operations guide (the "thin" manual) is an excellent starting point - esp. for operating the Oasys (not so much for programming sounds). I used it in the beginning for the sections on sequencing, audio-recording and Karma.
An excellent overview offers Mikes DVD, too - and it includes some nice tricks as well.
If you have done those two you can decide which areas you want to explore deeply. For this the parameter guide, the Oasys onboard help and this forum shall be your sources of information!
