It happened to me couple of times, couldn't find out why but i found that "Panic" helps. Hold "SHIFT" and press "START/STOP" that is the "PANIC" option that resets the MIDI messages.

I'm using AKG C520 set with B29L Phantom power, and I'm very satisfied. I've used it with a PA800 before. now you can probably get the version with XLR connector and use phantom power from the PA3x.

It is much easier to get used Digitech vocal processor, now it can be found fairly cheap on ebay. It works very good for the money.
