Hello,
Finally my joystick is acting funny, most likely wire or solder area is broken. There was couple of video posted on youtube about this, but doesn't show which screws or how to actually open up.
If anyone opened up to repair the joystick, please share which area I need to unscrew and anything to watch out to avoid any damages. My warranty is expired. Thank you.

It's actually not too hard to do it. I can say that Korg engineers made a really good choices in designing PA3x.
The main thing is to take the sides. Those silver plates are held by three hex screws, and after that several phillips screws. After that there are, i believe four black phillips screws on the bottom plate, four screws that hold the joystick assembly. and i think three on the rear side where the cable connectors are. And then carefully lift the top panel, watch for the cables.
You don't have to unscrew the keyboard, it remains on the bottom panel. Just remember to take a lot of pictures of every connector you disconnect. so you can put everything back together.
Hope this helps.

hi guys, just read this post. it was helpful, cause I needed to replace the joystick on the pa3x. my first time trying to open it up. but the reason for my reply to this post is cause after ordering and replacing the joystick/pitch bender wheel, I took the defective one apart and noticed all it was, it had a loose nut. after taking it apart I just tightened the nut and it was fixed.
