If I understood correctly : In style play mode => menu => keyboard ensemble,at the damper boxes uncheck the upper 1,2,3, check the lower, save to a desired location.

Had the same issue for about 4, 5 times, allways live on gigs... but I
came to the conclusion that is was a result from a combination of specific
style and a specific performance. Deleted the performance and the sound ( multisample and samples) and since then the pa4x never froze up to now.

I think that the only way to do that is through the mic input
and use the mic effects.

Since I could do that with my pa1xpro, I think that its possible.
I also used the harmonies!

Select the "style 2" , press the desired variation first then intro, press the drop down menu and select "write current style settings" save it and you're done. Now every time you select "style 2" it will start with the intro you assigned.

Also happened to me.... In style play mode. Finally I concluded that one particular sound that I used had some parameters that was responsible.

It happened again last night twice, wtih different styles so the problem is probably in the sound. I use samples for the KB set, and some times- not always , when I move the joystick +Y more than once everything goes south... This morning when I powered up the pa, I reproduced the crash emmediately ...

The style was originaly created on pa1x from scratch using only factory sounds.Then loaded on pa4, twicked and some parts made from scratch using only with factory sounds. Either way, the specifications provided from KORG for a 4000 keyboard has no limitation in style compatibility on any older ...

Let's say that you are right, why did it crash after 4 months of use? why i can't reproduce it?

The style i used was originaly made on my pa1x an has
been totally "refurbished" on my pa4x . I never had any
problems with any of my custom made styles up to now.
I use my Pa4x since September that got it, almost 3 times a week .

I discovered probaply a bug in cord recognition, when exiting style rec mode although it is on advanced recognition, when i play any style, i heed 3 notes to change cord. Playing with manual bass, you use the bass with the volume assingned to the style so if you want to increase the volume more than the global setting, press track select, choose the bass and then you can adjust the volume of the bass.

Probably the DK you use, is user made and has differently assigned sounds to the keybed so the volume you twick for the kick for example is maybe assinged to a cymbal or something else.
