I dont think there is much point having the audio out of the mS to the computer as the recording quality will be terrible. On that point I made a quick beat entirely out of mS sounds through MIDI on PTLE and recorded it through the MBox2. DISASTER. All the lows sound like turd and you can hear the ...

How to link pK pads to Play/Record etc in Pro Tools

As per the subject - how do you enable the PadKONTRL so that certain pads will trigger play, fwd, stop, record etc?

Can't figure it out!

I've now found that even with the microStation off and with the USB not plugged in I get a very very quiet high pitch noise coming through the MBox outputs. I know its from the mS because when I unplug the line outs from the mS the sounds goes. Once I plug in the USB (with mS still off) the noise ...

You can use the headphone output to connect to the MBOX2 line input, so long as you adjust the level to not overload the input, then use the MBOX headphone output for headphones. See if that works without noise. Stereo 3.5mm jack vs 2 x 1/4 inch though... won't that potentially reduce quality ...

Hi All I really appreciate the robust discussion around this unfortunately problem I am facing. In fact I am actually fairly surprised this problem hasn't reared its head with other users. If it does what you need then get it - I thought it was cheap for what it is and the quality is great.

I mean MIDI is MIDI - its not like buying a keyboard synth where the new one has more memory and a more developed synth engine.

Good RTAS instrument for padKONTROL PTLE

Hey Guys Got a KORG padKONTROL which I am loving. I have it hooked up via USB to a Win7, PTLE8 PC. Seems to be working well which is great. However, I am looking for an RTAS PTLE plugin that will do the following; - Receive MIDI signals from the padKONTROL (no brainer) - Be able to assign different ...

Those errors you got were after changing the midi in/out settings in the Global page, right? Yup - and the standalone plugin works... to an extent (that's where the screenshots were taken from) - but the RTAS in PTLE doesn't work at all over proper MIDI for some reason! Won't pick up the keyboard ...
