Korg modules that have ALL of the 05R/W sounds?
I used to own a Korg 05R/W back in the late 90's, but had to sell it due to needing the money. Now I want to repurchase it, but trying to get the best bang for my buck. As I understand, the X5DR has ALL of the sounds of the 05R/W, with an additional bank and twice the polyphony. Is this indeed the ...

New patches with 1.5?
Maybe I'm smoking crack, but I thought I saw a thread where somebody was talking about how he was loving the new patches that came with 1.5, esp the MOD7 ones. When I installed 1.5, all the new banks (AA, BB, etc) were empty ('init)'. Did I overlook something, or did I simply misread?

I don't think 'beautiful' is the word I'd use to describe it. Sure, it's a step up from the se to begin with, you're not really setting a high standard.ynths with Gameboy LCDs and tiny screens, but that's like saying the sh*t I took last night was better than the sh*t I took this morning. When you ...

BTW: Speaking of 3rd party libraries, somebody needs to get Korg to hook this guy up with a Kronos;

He does a lot of the stuff for the Motif.

The other possible advantage is only momentary: at the moment there are some more often used out of the box patches (for the lazy folks ;-) ) available on the Motif (we talked about the the very useable 80s package). This situation is changing fast, as LOTS of premium third party Kronos libraries ...

Can't speak for Roland, but courtesy of the Motifator shop, I have installed some brilliant acoustic and electric pianos, excellent organs with drawbar control, and so much more into my bulletproof Motif XS. Yeah,I'm currently evaluating the Kronos and I wasn't blown away by these sounds vs what is ...

I probably see worse than anybody in this thread, and glasses don't do much to help my situation either. I was able to see the Kronos well enough to get around ok in the store. (I haven't bought one yet.) The names of the patches are a bit problematic, but they usually have an image of either the ...
