Korg modules that have ALL of the 05R/W sounds?

I used to own a Korg 05R/W back in the late 90's, but had to sell it due to needing the money. Now I want to repurchase it, but trying to get the best bang for my buck. As I understand, the X5DR has ALL of the sounds of the 05R/W, with an additional bank and twice the polyphony. Is this indeed the ...

If the XS rack doesn't support sample RAM (can't remember if it does or not), I'd seriously pass on it. Way too many good 3rd party libraries out there to enjoy :)

http://youtu.be/j-U0a_bkJ2A This video shows how awesome the inegration between Cubase and a Motif works.... But also on other sequencers. I think Korg couls learn a lot from this... Having a piece of software that allows the Kronos to function both as a VST or as a VST host, or as a fully ...

I guess to each their own, but I still love my Motif XF :) Had a Kronos for awhile, but really couldn't get into it. Of course, there are holes in the Motif sound library that are present on the Kronos, esp the FM pianos. But by the time the Kronos came out, I had enough patches from 3rd party ...

I think most of the vendors blew their load in the last year and a half - Motif XF, Kronos, Jupiter 80, Nord Stage 2, etc. What can we expect this year? Maybe something from Kurz?

Mofit, you probably know this already, but those new banks are in the OS 1.5 upgrade.

New patches with 1.5?

Maybe I'm smoking crack, but I thought I saw a thread where somebody was talking about how he was loving the new patches that came with 1.5, esp the MOD7 ones. When I installed 1.5, all the new banks (AA, BB, etc) were empty ('init)'. Did I overlook something, or did I simply misread?

I don't think 'beautiful' is the word I'd use to describe it. Sure, it's a step up from the se to begin with, you're not really setting a high standard.ynths with Gameboy LCDs and tiny screens, but that's like saying the sh*t I took last night was better than the sh*t I took this morning. When you ...

BTW: Speaking of 3rd party libraries, somebody needs to get Korg to hook this guy up with a Kronos;

He does a lot of the stuff for the Motif.

The other possible advantage is only momentary: at the moment there are some more often used out of the box patches (for the lazy folks ;-) ) available on the Motif (we talked about the the very useable 80s package). This situation is changing fast, as LOTS of premium third party Kronos libraries ...

Ok, this thread is 62 pages - tl;dr. Somebody needs to update the first post of this thread with all of the pertinent information. I just got a 73 Kronos a few days ago, and didn't know about this thread beforehand. I THINK I have noticed the RH3 issue on mine, but not nearly to the degree as a ...

Hey Rick,

I bought both 80's packs for the Motif. If you release your libraries on the Kronos, and convince the Vintage Keys guy to do the same, a lot of us could probably part with our Motifs :) lol

Can't speak for Roland, but courtesy of the Motifator shop, I have installed some brilliant acoustic and electric pianos, excellent organs with drawbar control, and so much more into my bulletproof Motif XS. Yeah,I'm currently evaluating the Kronos and I wasn't blown away by these sounds vs what is ...

I probably see worse than anybody in this thread, and glasses don't do much to help my situation either. I was able to see the Kronos well enough to get around ok in the store. (I haven't bought one yet.) The names of the patches are a bit problematic, but they usually have an image of either the ...
