*Update Through a bit of trial and error, I found that the ESX is basically inoperable or rather inaudible without a pair of tubes plugged into the sockets. Prior to installing my JJ's from Eurotubes, I was a bit miffed about this , all turned out better then expected though. Once installed ...

Using the ESX with no tubes at all?

Hi guys. :) Well I think the stock tubes in my ESX have finally run their course. After hours of use, I'm beginning to notice a sharp decline in the quality of the overall sound. Not only that but the noise floor/white noise has grown noticeably louder and frankly it's becoming intolerable. This of ...

The Korg Microstation is an awesome companion to any of the electribes, it won't break your bank account either.

Count me in for a dedicated MS forum. It took me awhile to figure everything out, but now I know my way around the MS fairly well. This machine was definitely money well spent.

I've noticed that before starting a pattern or song containing some LFO programming that if I hit the 'reset' button before hitting play on the pattern the LFO will restart from it's default position. Hope this helps you guys out, give it a try.

, Maybe not, I have just stumbled on another glitch, some of the part keys in some patterns in bank (file) [2] don't make any sound now, even though they are assigned a sample and are lighting up as the sequence plays , just no sound. AND when I try to assign a different sample to that part still ...

I have another post up trying to figure this out but it seems that the samples go with the bank. i.e. sound 01 in bank [1] doesn't have to be the same sound as 01 in bank [2]. So I guess you can have a completely different set of samples for each bank. But I'm guessing that the total can be 98.3 ...

On the first ES-1 (the one with the green faceplate) the actual stock sample time is 98.3 seconds. The manual wrongly says 95 seconds for some reason. :?

Looping single cycle waves on a sample part-ESX (TIP)

Hi guys. :) Well I was fooling around last night with my ESX and I came across a cool little technique. If you're new to the ESX you'll quickly find out that there are two keyboard parts in which to assign and play synths (single cycle waveforms etc..), I think I may of found a cool little work ...
