you need to install the usb driver , the editor , and the vst plugin and you need a usb cable to connect MS with the PC and ofcourse you need audio interface to pass the sound from MS to PC , and read the manuals.

i gues you are using the SEQ mode , then you have to save them on the SD if you have. and then when you load your project in youe DAW you should also load the SEQ form the SD also in order to have the same things you were using in first place. Anyway the same thing also applies to all other modes ...

grid doesn't has to do with song location. so you don't need to change that. grid follows the loop points you set on the PLAY think of chunksof loops you set the loop pint on play 5-8 then if you got to grid you will see grid already set to that. anyway you can record grid and copy paste it on other ...

i ll try everything you say later at home , anyway i believe what you say , and probably you found a bug in the editor. so we need a dedicated forum for the MS !!! a.s.a.p. as the company might find difficult to see the posts and learn about such problems.

the export/save only creates file in your PC the only method to write something into Mstation is write. the receive/transmit used just to synchronize the data between the editor and the MS. though i see a possible problem with the rename function provided for user arpeggiator the rename doesnt work ...

i would suggest to check the size of the filename cause in the manuals says that you can have ONLY 24 chars filenames. and anyway each time you use UTILITY/WRITE it brings up a place where you can give whatever name you wish and where to save. This does the trick no need for special rename function ...
