Kaosspad Unconverted digital INs/OUTs

Are there? I thought there weren't yet... until I saw KP3 USB connector apparently no related to the MIDI connectors at its side. If digital inputs and outputs are there, what is the Kaoss audio files resolution? 44,1 48 88,2 96 KHz? Also bit depth and processing bits: 24bit, 30 or more? Since I ...

Hello every one. I had the same problem and I am trying to buy a new touch screen (...) Solution to the newcomers to this problem: Buy a "4 wire resistive touch screen" that has these proportions (width/hight) and mount it (maybe an adapter to the connection will be needed but that is the easy part ...

intrincate, Soon after Korg acknowledged that normal operation of Zero8, produced hiss sound on its analogue output, they came up with a "solution" which basically is running all the relevant volume levels (master fader, etc) close to its upper margin below clipping. This way the background Hiss is ...

run audio out of SPDIF to a converter box then RCA to monitors, would this help?
Exactly, this way bypasses Z8's problematic DAC outs, and allows to run it on COLD levels, ensuring a lasting live.

Without getting into the phones' amp sound quality, I would strongly disadvise anyone working with a Zero8 to run the levels "hot" (as suggested by Korg). Several investigative users have shown that the output analog sections are badly desigened in this mixer, and so by way of excessive heat it ...

Motif XF sounds better than Oasys and Kronos. Most actual Synths -being DSP based- still lacking digital outs... Can't understand why Synth makers mostly don't allow for DAC converter choice to be exerted by users? Even the new Kaoss pad suffers the same sound malady. I don't know what kind or ...

Good questions... I am -in a few hours- leaving for a remote location with difficult internet access for around a week or +.

Uhmm that 5v power supply might be overtaxed already... Whatever you choose, make sure the fan is the brushless type (to avoid adding electronic noise) and the bigger/slower the quieter it'll move the air. Also you may know headphone amps/wire share the negative pole... I wouldn't amplify stereo ...

@bitcrusher213 Fine you found a way that works for you. However -and since your usage of Zero8 is central for the group- DO add an external Fan (pluggable to 120V or 220V) to the right side of Zero. You'll improve its stability and long term operation. Believe me, I have experience with poor ...

Corpo. Installing a fan may cause electrical/ground/noise problems. I assume you used one of the brushless type, that would reduce the impact. Also a fan needs air intakes/outakes to efectively work. What were your findings while operating the Zero8 in cool mode outside the chasis? Actually one of ...

@Apricot Does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably priced DAC? Good for your Zero life you go the external DAC route, about which one to use, why dont you start a new thread, I'll catch up there. @Corpo During my teardown I ran the mixer for around four straight hours with the mixer ...

Has anyone actually tried contacting KORG for support? That should really be your first action when encountering a hardware failure, before even posting on an unofficial forum. And I wrote to the store I bought the mixer from, haven't heard a reply back yet. I was checking out Korg Canada .. the ...

One question to those of you who have the non/partially-working touchscreen: Were you running the Zero analogue line out in "hot" mode, as suggested by Korg to reduce the hiss problem??? If most (or all) of you did so, it could very well mean the touchscreen problem was created because its common ...

If Zero's 64 bit drivers do finally work, some of us will just need Ableton live to get the 64 compatibility for the dream machine. A paradigm shift is coming...
Well done Datan0ir.
