korg trance/synth sounds

hi! i used to have a yamaha mo-6, and one thing i really miss about it is the trance sounds. i feel like most of korg's sounds are better, except they're really sub par in this area. does anyone use the m50 for electronica music? do you have any sounds that you could share, or tips or advice? thanks!

88 key midi controllers

Hey all,

just picked up an M50-61 and would like to compliment it with a decent 88 key midi controller. Don't need anything top of the line, just some nice weighted keys.

Recommendations?

Thanks!

best 88 key midi controller

So i picked up the 61 key M50 with the intention of getting a nice 88 key weighted controller to use along with it. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

So the common way to record is to give each phrase its own "song", then use cue list to put it all together. This sounds much better than having 1 song file and having to plan the entire thing out in advance!

Thanks again for the help

Dream Theater keyboard effects question

Hey all! Does anyone know how to create the sound that Jordan Rudess is using in "In the Presence of Enemies Pt 2", the last track of Dream Theater's "Systematic Chaos"? Also, would it be possible to recreate that sound on my M50? And is there a more appropriate forum for these types of questions ...

adding drums to a song

Hi all,

How can I cycle through the preset drum beats in the M50, and how can I add a preset drumbeat to a song? I would like to use some of the preset drums that can be heard on combis within a sequencer song.

M50 patterns/loops?

Hi all, Just picked up my M50, moving on from a yamaha mo6. On the MO6, there's a "pattern" mode where you could select tracks one by one, record, and set loops, all like with the M50. Only on the MO, it will continuously loop, and you could build up songs that way, by bringing in intstuments one by ...
