Hey,
I'm trying to record something in 5/4.
Following instructions in the manual:
-create new song, 64 measures long
-"press seq read/write and set meter to **/**"
-"press **/** to highlight it, and use value controllers to set time sig.
-"press seq start/stop".. "when precount ends and location reaches 01 01 00".
problem is: when i set it to 5/4 then click start, it only records in 5/4 for however long i let it run after precount ends and before i press stop.
so, following the manual's instructions, when i press stop once precount ends on measure 01 beat 01, only the first measure will be 5/4, then it switches back to 4/4.
if i set it to 5/4 then let it run for 3 measures before stopping sequencer, it will switch back to 4/4 on measure 4 of the song.
Is this a bug? or am I doing something wrong here? is there a way to set an entire song to meter other than 4/4 without having to let the sequencer play through the entire song?
Thanks in advance for the help!

By default, the sequencer has 64 measures of control data on the Master Track.
Simply recording for a few measures at 5/4, won't overwrite the remaining measures
at 4/4. That's why you get the change from 5/4 to 4/4.
One method.....
Prior to any recording where a new time signature will be used,
Go to Track Edit, use Delete Measure and select All tracks, make sure that the
measure range is 001 to 064, at least, and then delete.
Next, the sequencer will follow 5/4, after using the instructions you mentioned.
It's not a bug and you're not doing anything wrong.
Keep in mind also, that after you use Delete Measure, you can also use Insert Measure
to insert time signatures signature ahead of time, so that the sequencer will follow these
immediately.
