I bought a second hand LP-180. The piano is perfect but the hinges that attach the lid to the piano had been removed.

I contacted Korg UK for spares but they don't stock the part.

Would some kind soul be able to take a picture of the hinge so I can source some 3rd party hinges?

Yes, MIDI over USB would be great, remove the SD card slot and add a couple GB on-board storage. Wouldn't add that much to the cost.

I've got the first Kaossilator and I'm seriously tempted by the 2S, especially being able to export into a DAW. It's being reported as In Stock at a few retailers online. Dawson's seems to be the cheapest at £119. I saw Anderton's were advertising it at £90. I wonder if that's the price it will drop ...

You can sync a Keys and Beats independently using the Sync I/O sockets. In order to sync either of them to Ableton (or any other DAW) you'll need a USB to MIDI interface, such as the EMU X-MIDI 2x2. The sync cables don't carry audio information. They send control data only.

If you're hearing audio bleed into other channels in Ableton it's either happening at your audio interface or you need to check the I/O settings in Ableton.

For the first issue, you can just clear the step sequence from the Volca (Func + key 16). The step sequencer will still start when you hit play in Live but there won't be any notes in the sequence. The FX Depth knob controls the "amount" of delay for the delay FX, does it not?

Some effects are not affected by the FX Release slider.

You can set the amount of FX Release by holding the shift button and moving the slider. If you hold shift and move the slider to the bottom, FX Release is disabled.

On the rear panel of the KP3 make sure the little switch is set to "Direct" and not "Send".
