PA800

I have a PA800 maybe 5 yrs old which I love. The screen does not activate so cannot select voices/songs etc. A repairer near me in Lismore NSW has tried for weeks to find replacement touch screen to no avail. Korg tells him the model is obsolete no spares available anywhere. I am shocked that Korg ...

OK Thanks. I have unscrewed the bottom section & was able to partially separate the 2 halves..... however several wires are attached to both. I'm not a skilled handyman so was reluctant to fiddle with the wires. I think maybe I should find a techo guy who understands electronics.... I'm just a ...

Thanks music..... but I have no idea how to open up the keyboard. There are what looks like 3 inspection panels plus a whole heap of screws too. I did open the small panel which showed a few wires seemingly OK. The larger panels seemed to be made of stiff cardboard which I failed to prise open ...

Record direct to CD from PA800

I have recorded some tunes into my PA800 songbook which I wish to copy to a CD. Its prob shown elsewhere in the forums but can't find it. Can you please tell me the best way to do this without spending heaps? I am non-technical so please explain in terms a 5yr old child (!) may understand. Just love ...

OK Pete...do you hear the sound of pennies dropping? What I did not do was to hold the pedal down while I clicked on push.
Don't the authors of these manuals realise that some of us are not very bright? Ask me to find a F#aug with a flattened 9th= no problem.
Anyway thanks for your help

Thanks Pete....but still no go. I had the pedal lead in the DAMPER socket prior to OS2 & that was fine. The OS2 manual says stick it in the ASSIGN PEDAL socket, so I did and followed the instructions. I kept getting an error message saying: OUT OF RANGE, TRY AGAIN So went thru the procedure again ...

Damper pedal problem

Prior to OS2 I could reverse the polarity of the damper pedal as shown in the PA800 manual page 212...under Global/Controllers.
I now find this option is no longer there after OS2...I have continuous sustain unless I hold the damper pedal down.
What have I missed?

Following this thread with great interest, learning lots....thanks. My fav bonus style so far is called strangely "Piano 4 tett" which I suppose translates into "quartet". Just the job for improvising around tunes like "Satin Doll" or "Autumn Leaves" If you know of any other styles similar to that ...
